Reply to my polite email:

Our official policy is that we can't offer exchanges or refunds for tickets unless the event is cancelled (this includes exchanges & refunds due to travel disruptions) – that's in line with the agreement that we have with the venue and event organisers, and we sell the tickets on their behalf.

As there haven’t been any changes to the event itself and there weren't any errors with our website, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund for your booking.

So removing two feisty rock bands and replacing them with one mellow teenage pop band isn't a change?!
 
Emailed again and said I wanted a refund or I was going to invoke Section 75.

They've processed a refund 😁

Hotel room is non-refundable, but I can change the booking to another date for £10. Going to plan a mini-break on another date as the footy got changed to a 12.30pm kick off on the Saturday, so it was going to be a rush getting back for that anyway.

Yes they have. I'm pretty cheesed off about that and so is the bairn.

They've gone all American. Their recent music is more like generic pop crap and they don't sing in Italian anymore. Feels like they sold their souls for dollars 😟

We had tickets for The Deershed Festival in 2019 and I was really looking forward to seeing Fontaines DC, but the closer the festival was getting, the bigger Fontaines were becoming. I could see the cancellation coming, and sure enough they pulled out a week before (they did pull the other festival shows that weekend tbf). So I kicked off on Twitter and Carlos from the band must have seen it so dm'd me and apologised, anyway he offered me 5 free Guestlist tickets for a show of my choice on their forthcoming tour so I blagged them for Newcastle Academy a few months later

That’s great news and completely right. TM boil my piss. Them along with evil nation are just horrible companies.

A rapper I've never heard of has done the same. Pretty snide by the bands (not RATM as you can't help an injury). If you've committed to an event you shouldn't cancel it for another gig. Vampire Weekend did the same once. They were supposed to supporting The Young Knives but their song was getting radio play so they pulled out of the tour. Poor show.

Jack Harlow, no me neither. Folks should think on, in five years time when your star has waned, it would have been the people you've shat on still coming to tiny venues to see you and buying your over priced merchandise.

You can't help some things like illness, injury, death in the family etc. Disappointing yes, but I've got no issue with RATM cancelling given the circumstances.

Cancelling to go to some awards ceremony is shan behaviour. They could have easily send a pre-recorded acceptance message like other people do and not let their UK fans down. They already cancelled a UK gig in Feb (we didn't have tickets for that one) and now people are wondering if they'll cancel their UK gig next May. We do have tickets for that but I've booked pay on arrival hotel that I can cancel free of charge.

My son's girlfriend is stuck with tickets ,who did you email ?
Is it not just easier using section 75 from card company ?

If you go into the order there's an option to contact them for help with the order.

I got a generic cut and paste reply first, then emailed back and challenged it and they refunded me.

Tell her to give it a go and hopefully she will be refunded too.
