day for shorts- wearing them ( not drinking them )
When I saw the sea fret this morning, it put the shorts in jeopardy, but its burning off in South Shields now. If Alex Neil puts as much thought into the team selection as I have into the shorts situation, we will be guaranteed 3 points today.

Might have a quick one (not a cheeky one) outside Chaplins, before heading round to Fitzies.

Chaplins outside seating will be put to good use today

I will admit that I was a bottle of wine and a couple of gins in.

I was never trying, even remotely, to suggest that hat the attendance is poor, because it's not. It simply looks odd, given the last gate and the performances so far, even allowing for 1,000 less away fans. Maybe naive, but I was surprised.

Of course, we'll now sell 2,500 today, and I'll look even more of a tit.
Unfortunately crowds don’t increase after EVERY decent streak. 28000-35000 seems to be our “standard“ crowd attendance outside of the PL. I think it’d need a prolonged winning streak accompanied by attractive football to get it back to the SOLs Reidy hayday. Here’s hoping.

That’s the spirit. We all say daft or unconsidered things at times.

You’re a great fan. Enjoy your day. Mine’s a pint.👍😊⚽🍺

I've not said it's poor, but the drop off is more than can be accounted for by the smaller number of away supporters. I'm just surprised it's not higher given the performances in the two games we've played.

Came back in the afternoon yesterday.
Me, wife and son got down roker/seaburn just before 6pm yesterday. Absolutely glorious it was. Had fish and chips on the pier about 8pm, it was like you were abroad. It was lovely, felt so proud this was Sunderland.😎😎

Can you not just say I shouldn’t have said piss poor like?
