Durham v Gloucestershire - 12th August 2022 RLODC

and I think sometimes we're asking too much of the overseas. I mean they get off the plane and the next day they're asked to bat in a four day game. No or little time given for acclimatisation and especially when often the players a new to English conditions.

We've had some very good Test quality batsmen but somehow they haven't produced.

The ones that come to mind that did well were John Hastings - easier for a bowler at Durham. And also Latham, who has lots of previous at Durham and also when he arrived he did a stint in club cricket before playing for the county half way through the season.
Yeh,and they invariably leave prematurely. Aussie season commences 23rd Sept. Expect Maddinson to miss last 2 CC games.

Pleased. The stories about that day were not good. Enjoy the match
One difference is that it’s easy to move around the ground. I like to move about anyway to get a different perspective. Currently up top and there’s a pleasant breeze but will probably move downstairs for a bit of shade during the afternoon

Agreed on that. I’ve not got around to the trapdoor stand, but I’ve been nearly every where else
