It's not that hard for fans to buy tickets though

It's not? I've seen loads of examples on this board in the past few weeks of how difficult fans have found it to get a ticket online, and if they can't buy online, they can't buy in person as the ticket office closes at 1pm, or isn't open. People shouldn't be limited by the club as to when they want to go and buy a ticket.

It should be open daily, until 5pm. Its inexcusable.

To be honest I find it a a bit strange why people have problems buying them online. If you think of things like music or comedy gigs those tickets are all online only from sites like ticketmaster and that seems to work fine. As a club we use ticketmaster too and whilst I'd say it's far from perfect on a mobile, it's still perfectly usable so not sure why our situation would be any different to those other types of gigs.

Obviously having the ticket office open (or at least available to speak to on the phone) would help a few, but I'd guess it's a very small amount of people that actually do have a problem.

I understand what you mean and yes it could improve but it's still not that hard. People have to have a membership number and the means to pay with a card or online. Same as the cinema, a concert or theatre. Not defending the club but there are plenty of options.

The process and the system aren't too bad once you get to know how it all works.
The issue is that there are still hundreds (thousands?) of our older fanbase that don't have internet access. When they went over to digital sales 7.5 % of the UK population did not have the internet, now it's about 6%.

6% of 35,000 is 2,400.

If the SAFC fanbase is typical then those 2,400 have choices
A) Get someone else to buy on their behalf
B) Buy in person at the Ticket Office (when it is open and does not have queues round the block)
C) Not go

The lass (late 70s) next door to me knocked on my door yesterday teatime to ask if I could sort her telly out. For the record 63 year old me couldn't, it was something to do with no stored channels).

Can,t do conscesions online , could spend 3 hours in a queue. People have paid up front for season cards that don't work, they don't respond to emails, the message on the ticket office telephone automated line tells you the line is disabled. There is no customer service whatsoever.

Depends what you use to buy it.. Some people just aren't tech savvy enough, and if online is their only option then some are stuck. I tried to buy tickets on my phone last season and it proved nothing short of a nightmare. Had to use a friend's laptop to buy them in the end.

If the ticket office was open, there'd be no issues. There's a lot of the older generation would much rather visit the ticket office, because that's their preference. The club a lot of the time don't even give fans a choice.

Why the ticket office isn't open 10-5 Monday to Friday on match week is something I will never understand.

But people should be able to have the right to choose. There's a lot of older people who probably can't stand technology.

Are we really asking for much in asking for the ticket office to be open Monday to Friday all day on a match week?

Ticket office and club store shoudve been open from middle of July till end of August Mon to Sat 9am till 5pm to get sc and strips sorted. Then it should die down after that to open less days

Think the club shop should be open Mon to Sat through the whole of the 6 weeks holiday personally.
