Prime Hatton was really good I reckon, Kostya, Castillo and Maglignaggi and the fought the 2 best of our generation in their absolute primes, granted he lost but deserves the respect for it... The Mayweather approach was more humbling than the smashing he got from Pacman
Aye. Maybe I’m being harsh on Hatton. His whole I like getting pised and fat shit bored me. Loved him until the lost ya fight.

Malig, Castillo and the chunky lad he beat in the states were decent solid wins like.
But on balance I reckon if I done a list I’d rate him maybe edge of top 30 post war.

Wlad was past his best thats for sure ane he hadnt had a decent mental or physical challenge in a good long time
Nonsense. He fought a prime Pulev 2 fights before Fury and a Prime Povetkin 4 fights before. Both of whom put decent efforts up against AJ years later.

Wlad was passing his prime, but was still the top dog. He knew how much of a challenge Fury was - he'd been in camp with Fury before and Steward rated him highly and they tried to work together at one point.

He had more success against a greener boxer.and to an extent would've been desperate to redeem a gun-shy performance against Fury, but the reality is, Fury bamboozled him and made him look further past his best than he actually was.

Wlad should have still been ranked No1 in the world for the Joshua fight tbf

Fury was banned for taking PEDs and only reason Wlad was inactive was because Fury pulled out of the rematch twice and screwed him over so shouldn't have lost his ranking.

Versus Fury?

He was highly active before fury, the likes of povetkin and pulev in their prime like. Wlad was a quality fighter at that stage.

That was a Cracking win by fury.

And those 2 were his biggest tests in 7/8 year thats the point …. Decent efforts maybe Povetkin ( although at that time nobody had stopped him quicker than Joshua i think ) but not Pulev the ref should have stopped that fight in the 3rd when he turned his back and ran to the corner

If the ref didn't have a brain fart, that fight would've been TKO3. I still don't know what the fuck he was doing.

100% a cracking win i’m not trying to take away from it but Pulev and Povetkin are already covered and look at who else he’d faced ….. thompson, mormeck, pianeta, wach, leapaii, chageav not exactly battles mentally or physically he wasnt in a place to be handle Fury

Toronado. Haway man. We’re you a fan back then when wlad was fighting. . Wlad was the top dog, barely looked like getting beat since his meltdowns in 2004.

Manny had him oooozing confidence and style that was so hard to beat. Cracking left hook when he let it go .

Fury shocked him.

Hold on. Fury wasn’t seen in the light he is now. Context

Cracking win like.

It was a dull period but he was top dog. Things started to decline when Steward died the same time he hit the wrong side of 35 - some visible changes in things he was/wasn't doing, but he was still a top top opponent.

Fury beating him was huge tbh.
