The Unvaccinated BBC2

with the BBC being fair and balanced , im sure we will see another documentary in the coming months where a presenter with anti vax views will interview those who have took the jabs and show them how they have made a mistake and are wrong ........wont they?

Should the BBC broadcast documentaries from flat earthers, creationists and those who believe the moon is made of cheese?

You are entitled to your own views but not your own scientific facts.

oh i think a lot of the "scientific facts " and grandiose claims about these jabs from a year or so back have unravelled badly dont you?

I think the claims of the tin foilers haven't aged well mind.
I remember being told it was all about control and we'd never get out of the lockdowns.

Sometimes being fair and balanced is actually giving the loony argument very little credit and attention because it’s just not true.

I thunk alot of claims have come to fruition sadly.
Which ones, ones where people claimed Covid didn't exist maybe?
Or that the vaccine was to weed out the population for a great reset, something which when first claimed we would see happening now.

I would be interested to see which of the claims have come true in your view.

Exactly right. If you have an expert on saying X then being fair and balanced doesn't mean you should have a conspiracy theorist saying the opposite. When it comes to global warming, vaccinations or evolution there are scientific facts. There is no equivalence of arguments as there is with a discussion of politics or sport. Of course, ignoring the lunatics just makes them even more paranoid, but secretly, I think they like it.

It gives people attention when they otherwise wouldn’t warrant it at all. Also gives them a sense of community. I can understand that side of it.

What I don’t like these days is how someone’s opinion has be treated on parity as facts. Madness.

I have no problem with differing views given the same amount of time, the problem I have is the inability of some people to even consider the other view point.

There has been examples when the scientist have lied by emission, cherry picking the facts that suit, its one of the reasons why its healthy to always question stuff.

here comes the but:-

the ability to debate and put forward a differing view point, which then can lead the community to go away and do further research ( talking about the scientist and research community here ) only works when both sides are dealing with facts, with research, flawed or not.

It gives a base for other teams to go away and but the people theories to test, its how science has always worked, come up with an idea or view, test it yourself, release the information to the community and let your peers try and rip it apart, to see if its a sound theory.

Sometimes the science stands up to the tests, sometimes some doubt gets thrown on it and sometimes the theory gets disproved.

the above fails and falls apart when you get a group that wont entertain facts, wont share research ( go do your own research is a normal reply ) or is sharing data thats already been disproved soundly and just ignore that fact and continue to spout out dated disproved stuff.

these people no matter what the data shows will ever change their minds, caught in a cycle of only believing what is shared in there own circles and any differing views are the "man" trying to hide the truth, even if one of there own changes their minds, its a simple the "man" got to him, it proves nothing.

Different fields have differing amounts of this and quite rightly you point out attention is a very big factor.

its very scary that a vocal non scientist with a big platform can out shout good solid research.

I fear it will get worse not better as time goes on too.
@robbied1 once claimed the vaccine was made before the outbreak. He’s a bit into his conspiracies.
Well some of the vaccine Tech was, I mean the vaccine tech has been around a long time, maybe he got the two mixed up when doing his own research and jumped to conclusions?

Like many conspiracy theories, there is an element of truth around this. The team at Oxford University had been working on the delivery mechanism but they hadn't used it in an actual vaccine.

Same, never had vaccine or booster, had that horrific “flu” in December 2019
Never wore a mask, never distanced, never followed the rules, never caught it since.
That "flu" (yup, I caught it December) wasn't supposed to be COVID.

If I did catch COVID, it was April 2020 and extremely mild (loss of taste, slightly sore throat, etc.).

Frij is very black and white, it's only true when the bbc, the daily mail etc report it
the BBC`s silence on vax deaths and injuries is deafening
Didn't the German government release some figures recently?
