Exactly!

When he come in last season the base expectations from the fans was really low, avoiding relegation was seeing as being successful. Now after a decent second half to the season their expectations are back to normal where anything below 6th will be seen as failure. Howe will find things much tougher now imo.

He's clearly a decent coach, but why the new long term deal now already, who exactly are they fending off interest from  he was out of work and wouldn't be in the running for any of the real top jobs

Suppose waving death to the west flags was all because they had rid of Ashley.

Thinking about it , he is a westerner just it's a bit harsh when the Saudi scum mean all of us with those flags.

Maybe counting on the compo from the FA when they replace Southgate at the England job. Cam use that money to pay done of the bank debt off

It's only a couple of months since spurs beat them up 5 nowt ,another team did as well but can't remember.
Untried botman will be on his arse most games
Howe had a free hand last year ,this year more pressure its not Bournemouth, bottled Burnley will bottle this with his permo tanned freak coach who was also a disaster as a manager

Of course it was a nod to their new owners but then some of them since "read the room" around the time of the Palace game and more recently with LIV thought maybe we have this wrong? and now the narrative is shifting to "it was because Ashley was going". Absolute embarrassment the lot of them who were there that night dressed up and even worse so weak in their conviction that they cannot stand up and admit why they were so happy. Even if you park Khassoghi/911/Yemen they were still aligning themselves to a country where women are less than and the life of an "ordinary" woman is unpleasant. Meanwhile being gay is illegal.
