I’m not sure I’ll ever reconcile football fans dancing round with tea towels on their heads in support of a murdering regime.

Yet here they were, having pledged never to go back while Ashley was there, I mean, he employed people on zero hour contracts, now desperate to go back because they were owned by murderer.

I quickly learnt it was impossible to argue rationally with them and if I’m honest, it really upset me. If I posted on FB about it I edited privacy so Newcastle fans couldn’t see it, on Twitter I muted the NUFC hashtag and anything associated with it.

And, I can say regardless of the football club involved aside, because it wouldn’t have mattered which team, the whole thing has and continues to sicken me.

@janey ….I feel your pain, because I could have written that word for word.
I have Newcastle supporting friends who I always thought had a solidly strong moral compass….I was wrong.

I am beyond any understanding, their logic, their principles, their previously held beliefs, just disappeared in a whiff of we are going to be the richest club in the world.
 
Had a mag come into where I work today and we got talking, he assumed I was also a mag being in Consett, weird thing seeing as it's 50/50 here, told him I was a Sunderland fan then he got talking about how we threw the points away last week, I said it was a good result considering. He then whips his phone out and shows me a picture of his grandson with a old fat bloke in a wheelchair dressed in a bedsheet with a towel on his head which was weird enough, had to bite my tongue so hard as to not start ripping the piss out of him, then mentioned that the bloke was charging £5 a pop for the pictures and he had it framed on his wall, I had to walk away or I might have gotten myself sacked as the poor bloke didn't seem all there tbh.

It seems the excuse about not a spending as the whole werld thought is down to ffp

Yet its saying that will change in time, how come? The rules be scrapped like?
