RLODC - Durham 2022

The balance sheet is there for all to see from Companies House.
The operating profit figure is given as £1m.
Any accountants amongst up who can summarise the accounts in layman's terms?
Accounts look backwards, ie an account of what happened, so perhaps their expectation of the future is ok-ish though not brilliant (speculation).

Absolutely, but the thin squad for this season whiffs of not enough cash being available, and the comment form WHED on here re: the state of the ground. There's a big posisbility that they'e been talking up heathly finances a bit than the truth warrants.
Not that I'm saying they're going bust, just that they're living on a mostly empty wallet.

As Parky alludes to, the stuff about profit has to be transparent.

Well Surrey have announced on their Twitter that they are heading north to Newcastle for their next RLOD cup match but haven't named a squad so we will probably not know if they have actually turned up till tomorrow.
Durham new management team must still be mulling over their squad or the PR department have forgotten to update their Twitter to let those "people" who turn up to watch them know who is available.

Late decision on Ben Stokes?

I'm still convinced we'll see him in one of the games before the test series.
Dickson, Bedingham, Bushnell, Coughlin, Salisbury. All injured. Lees to join England on Aug 15th. Jones likely to be involved in Scotland ODIs too. It's a real test for the rest of the young squad who remain. I wish them well and hope they come good.

Marty seems a bit annoyed on Twitter tonight

I see he’s arguing with someone. Clearly he’s suggesting whoever does Durham’s PR or social media whatever isn’t being told stuff & it’s way above their head what goes out or more importantly in this case what doesn’t.

I made a comment last night regarding this on here, didn’t use any expletives, but had the post removed for ‘inappropriate languge’.

Interesting 🤔.

Anyway, Marty was right.
