The Hundred 2022 Match Thread

Franchise city based T20.

No other country or international teams play 100 balls all play T20

One competition, one window ,all the best players available ,all played in the school holidays all geographically areas covered.

10 teams to include North East and South West to add to current areas covered.
That’s exactly what should have been done.

It’s a fallacy that this period is the best for ‘exposure’.

It isn’t.
It is for young kids going to a night match not having to get up for school the next day.
Whats the split of positive and negative comments across the 11 pages of each thread........??
Stop making such good points :D
Why would they bin T20 when it is so successful globally?

I know this is FTECB we’re talking about, but if one competition has to go, it’s this shite.

False equivalence.
I know mate just joking

They are not going to drop this as too much money has been spent and tv deals agreed

but there is definite scope to improve. By having franchises in the north east and south west for starters.

i mean Welsh fire were dire last season and going on that, will be bottom again. Their home crowds were mediocre as well

its not helping England cricket though as no other nation has adopted it, so we maybe good at the 100 but it will prove nowt on the world stage

our t20 side this summer showed that. Getting worse.

Well it's not though is it? 10 balls an over is it? change ends after 10 balls? each bowler can bowl a max of 20 balls. the coach can walk out into the middle of the pitch to discuss tactics... i mean what the fuck is that all about? each time can have a 2 minute time out

am sorry but that just isn't normal/proper cricket rules.
In the main it really is normal cricket rules

You're spot on about the ££, they will throw everything at this even if it's just to save face.
