The Hundred 2022 Match Thread

That knob head from Love Island will be doing some bollocks in the crowd for half an hour even though every f*ckers left........
It’s this sort of thing that puts me off accepting this format. I understand though for the demographic that likes that sort of thing it’s spot on.

maybe it will inspire the youth to look at him and think they to can bullshit their way to riches

Still staggers me that the ECB and TV companies have made up a format that no one else plays, then allowed it to be shown on normal TV as well as pay TV. They also hyped the shite out of it over the "traditional" forms of cricket.
Nail. Head.

How Jimmy Anderson can associate himself with something like this is beyond me..........obviously money talks over and above your reputation........

I don’t mind that as Anderson though not finished (copyright keith) he is defintely in his last section of his career

as is broad on sky.

Don't mind them commentating or being a pundit mate but this format is a joke!!!! Just as Chris Hughes starts his post match interviews..........🙈🙈🙈🙈

Got to say mind the thread about T20 finals day.

Highlight of the county season 3 games in one day and a final.

11 pages on the thread.

One game of the hundred (sorry apologies the 16.4)

11 pages on the thread!

Just saying like;);)

i think we have to lose a comp in the U.K. so the 16.4 with everyone playing if they bin t20

Why would they bin T20 when it is so successful globally?

I know this is FTECB we’re talking about, but if one competition has to go, it’s this shite.

False equivalence.

Not sure why they could not have followed the IPL model.

One competition one window all the best players playing.

All played in the school holidays
9 team comp…
Durham: Riverside
Yorkshire: Headingley & Scarborough
Manchester: Old Trafford
Trent Valley: Trent Bridge & Derby
Mercia: Edgbaston & New Road or Northampton
Welsh/West: Cardiff & Bristol or Taunton
North London: Lords & Chelmsford
South London: Oval & Canterbury
Southern: Rose Bowl & Hove

I watched the whole of finals day. Can’t remember if there was other big events that day, think safc were playing a friendly iirc

I mean this not proper cricket rules is pretty much nonsense as it is proper cricket rules.

Same way to get wickets, catches, run outs, stumpings etc etc.

Same batting boundaries 4s 6s etc etc

Only difference really is the balls instead of overs, so of course it’s proper cricket rules
Well it's not though is it? 10 balls an over is it? change ends after 10 balls? each bowler can bowl a max of 20 balls. the coach can walk out into the middle of the pitch to discuss tactics... i mean what the fuck is that all about? each time can have a 2 minute time out

am sorry but that just isn't normal/proper cricket rules.

It’s either t20 or this

one has to go imo. It definitely makes sense to bin this but we are trying to understand the FTECB here

or they bin the 50 over stuff. Something has to go.

Now I could accept this very easily

Franchise city based T20.

No other country or international teams play 100 balls all play T20

One competition, one window ,all the best players available ,all played in the school holidays all geographically areas covered.

10 teams to include North East and South West to add to current areas covered.
