My SC is in the North Stand and their fans were subject to Sniffer Dogs. One lad actually got stopped but looked like it was for gear rather than weapons.

Apparently these is an option to move the away fans back down to the lower but it ain’t cheap

Wouldn’t surprise me. Was told by the stand manager that planning permission was accepted and costed and everything for a net and Donald pulled the funding halfway through last season. Club ownership still blocking that, so would make sense what you say being cost related too

They can't do owt it people stick them down their duds though. Only way to stop it is to put a net up (and have other things thrown through instead - like darts?) or close the stand to teams who do it.

Then they start searches n have some decent security, inconvenient but can be done. Be a lot of moans but if it isn’t stopped someone is going to get seriously injured.

SAFC official in the North Stand said he'd been wanting the netting for a few seasons but the board had held off.
