Craft Beer

Where are the Gateshead places? I know of one in the railway arches but not the others.
Axis
Microbus
The Central - more traditional pub, but class.

Sure @dangermows said there was somewhere else too

Station East literally across from Central.

All within thirty seconds of each other. Two Micros in the Arches and then just round the corner are the other two, side by side.

San Sebastian - Basqueland is the pkace, never got there yet but there beer is good. Mala Gissona is great behind the best beach Zurriola.

I’m down in San Sebastián in just over 3 weeks, so looking forward to trying a few places out. My hotel is a 2 minute walk from a place called Pub Drop, which is convenient.

Ah right new them apart from microbus. Just got over excited that there were new micropubs.
A half decent trail in North Shields now too. Enigma Tap, Engine Room, Salt Market Social (when its open) and Flash House Brewing co. Was expecting more of Three Tanner's Bank and left without buying anything. Gave the Ships Cat a serve as it was racuous but seems it might be ok at times.
Was going to ask which pubs were your pick of the bunch but perhaps you'll struggle to remember
Well in to the food at Brinkburn Street Brewery. It's also the only bar I've been in offering draft and keg for the same beer. Huge difference, but then that's probably exacerbated by landlords in the north using sparklers to get more pints out of a barrell.

Full Circle was great, for some reason Tyne Bank(?) was a lot busier despite us not thinking as much of their beer. Free Trade was probably our favourite, really enjoyed the atmosphere and the view - had a cracking pint of an Almasty beer on cask too.

Next couple of places (Tyne Bar and Brinkburn) were good but very busy. Liked the Ship Inn a lot. Think the last one we went to was Unit 12? Didn’t stay long as it was outdoors and bloody freezing

Aren't the two Micros in the Arches fairly new?

Did a decent stint in North Shield last week.

I'm not a fan of it tbh, but they had a reet selection just inside the front door at Lidl on North Hylton Road this morning. All about £1.50 a can.
Paddy lad, saying you're not a fan of it is an odd one as it covers such a vast array of beverage.

Those in the likes of Lidl at that price will be crap, for the most part.

I was in there recently, had all the Basqueland stuff, but pricey, their one of the best in Spain. Drop has another bar up by the Sociedad stadium, worth a wander up.
Mala Gissona and the Basqueland place by Zurriola beach are the best bets but don't let that stop you wandering around the old town eating pinxtos with the industrial stuff.
Get on the 18/70 in the normal bars, some Heineken influenced locally brewed lager, much better than the local Keler brand which is crap.
SS is great. Best looking place in Spain.

£1.50 for a 330ml can is expensive for me like.

A San Miguel or a Moretti is good enough for me. Wouldn't mind seeing more German or Belgian beers on draught over here though.

I've not been. Pre COVID there was a cafe bar there I'd go to occasionally. Not sure if same person reopened. I was just hoping 4 micros that I hadn't been to were there.

Well you've definitely got new Micros to go at.

It will be if you're usually supping SM and the likes. I'd say any of the half good stuff will roll in around 4/5 quid a can. I'd not expect to pay anything like that for those you have referenced.

But the good craft stuff costs a fair whack to produce, hence the inflated prices.

Torque on Sea Rd usually has at least one on tap.
