I watched him disappear in too many important games… he should never have been made Captain. That was a shocking decision.

Sometimes a player needs a change. It doesn't mean we "let him get away".

You're right about the captaincy it should have always been Catts. He didn't, however, give himself the armband

In retrospect I think getting rid was a bad idea, though I wasn't arsed at the time. He'd basically give you a 6/7 out of 10 performance wherever you played him across midfield. Probably as much of an indictment of our recruitment as anything else but we missed him when he went.
