It's all Big Mike's fault....naturally

Of course it is. Big Mike who ran the club in such a way that the Saudis bought a business that had at least some wriggle room with FFP by not blowing a load of cash and by making money by selling players at the right time.

If Mike had blown money left right and centre they'd be in a far worse situation with FFP.

The delusion is unreal.... but the penny is starting to drop that this takeover isn't living up to expecting, the "project" is a get out of jail free card for if things don't go well....

'In Eddie Howe we have a manager who has that ability. How much is Bruno now worth? How much is Botman going to be worth after this season? I quote Tifo football “According to FBREF Joelinton is one of the best midfielders in the world.'

Nae idea what FBREF is, probably some shite stats thing, I mean even if he's high up for a decent half season, does this mean he's one of the best in the world? Absolutely mental 😂

He is in the bottom 6% for passes attempted, 26% for pass completion and 10% for progressive carries.....

but up near the top for blocks and aerials won.

Hardly the best in world stats! I guess whoever wrote that doesn't know how to read stats.

Yes, I’m so far delighted with the new ownership and the progress they have made.
On or off the field. Can you elaborate. Do you mean by surviving relegation or were you meaning those children in Yemen fighting for their very survival from genocide. As long as you are pleased with the progress then all is good.

I’ve already said I’m more than happy with progress on and off field. Additions made in all areas that are better than previous.

They must be smoking some strong stuff over in KSA, they’ve already started a 500 billion city project that’s having problems

“Also, the scope of the projects based on the crown prince's vision incorporates some technologies that do not even exist yet, like , robot maids, dinosaur robots, and a giant artificial moon. It is estimated that 20,000 people will be forced to relocate to accommodate the planned city.”

Totally batshit

How do you know that they are all mags? Per the lines you quoted, “ally of the …”, they could simply just be patriots yeah? Or job seekers? Or you are sure that there couldn’t have been any Sunderland supporters who signed it because the takeover will ultimately benefit NUFC, which is the real reason why so many here are so against it?

Also, never done any petition myself but how difficult is it to sign one? This will tell you how casual their thought processes were
😂😂😂😂. Dear me.

People close to him have said he’s had no previous interest in football or NUFC but since the Saudi ***** have taken over he’s been hijacked by the professional Geordies and Wor Flags and is playing their game the sad b*****d. Black and white guitar at Finsbury Park two weeks ago and photo’d drinking the fizzy gnats piss that is Scum Brown Ale at Glastonbury.

Daft get sings songs about bombings in Gaza but is promoting Saudi United and all the human rights abusing horrors associated with them, thick as mince.

First post is a load of bollocks, he was in black and white way before all of this. Second point is fair

But they sang they were the richest club in the world with messi making the tea and ronaldo driving the bus or whatever.

They even wore tea towels on their head to prove it

That must now rival the infamous ‘oh we’re Jawdees’ ‘ye divant undastaand’ surely ???
Only them
Ok let’s talk about the beheadings as I’ve not heard much since around 75 or so we’re murdered in 1 single day including some poor soul who was only 13 years old when he was arrested.
America kills more people so it’s not fair to mention it ! Anyway Queen Mandy runs the club

i had a google of that. i didnt see a list of the "best midfielders", there was a link to the 10 most equivalent midfielders. i hadnt heard of 7 of them. the other 3 were willock - who's played about 3 games - merino - who they sold years ago - and shlupp. who's obviously a world beater as well.

I have said it tonnes on here before - Joe Linton is a battler, that is all. Ditto Dan Burn. Both are poor with the actual football and the results and atmosphere masked that last season. Starting afresh in August and not starting as relegation certainties you would expect most knowledgeable NUFC fans will spot this and see the shortcomings. EH's brand of football last season was effective but closer to Wimbledon than anything else. Trippier/Targett hit Wilson/Wood to win a set piece or for the midfield to feed of the scraps.

So after all that fanfare about their takeover, worlds richest club etc etc, it's turns out that they're skint and are needing to take out huge loans to covwr their operating costs.

This isn't going to end well for them. Taking out a £140m loan so soon after buying them them should be setting alarm bells ringing.

OK, lets talk about the Saudi Regime and their appalling human rights issues. Tell me, what are you doing to try and make a difference about it ? I can only presume your taking regular direct action or is it just confined to a Sunderland message board ?

Thus far we can only judge on what we have seen since Howe took over, and the performances from Jolinton and Burn have been great. As you correctly mention, results and atmosphere have been superb but its performances of players that ultimately win you games and those two contributed significantly to those stellar results.

Includes half of the season when he wasn't playing in CM.

Disingenuous, just like your 30% possession shite. I expected as much.

The financing was because we have moved banks from Barclays to HSBC btw and had to replace the previous arrangement.

If you don't like the views expressed on here by Sunderland fans then feck off...no one is forcing you to be here.

Possession shite? You were bottom of Prem on that stat until the last game!

You had best do some research before trying to pull me up. See the match logs for JoeL -

barely 10% of his time, last season, played as a FW. Hardly disingenuous or maybe only CM's pass the pall or progress the ball?

I think we discovered yesterday that you are not one for detail when throwing out the Man City charge when trying to defend the pay day loan.

Ah back to to this.

Local serial killer comes into the street and you let him stay in the spare room for a wad of cash. You shout out of the bedroom window to the rest of the street: "But what are you all doing about the murders!!!"

I can tell you one thing the lads not doing, and that’s going out of his way to help defend the Saudi regime.

To help prevent Sportswashing from being successful, everyone should keep mentioning their atrocities on social media, no matter how big or small the viewing figures are. Helping to raise the awareness of what the perpetrators are doing is one of the best ways to prevent heinous regimes using sport as a means to cleanse their vile image.
