Obviously you didn't read the article and just got annoyed because it was a Luke Edwards tweet. He's reporting on the England ladies team but because it's Edwards you automatically link that to Newcastle.

Here's the quote that has annoyed you. It's from Fran Kirby;

“Hopefully, we are giving the country something to smile about,” said Kirby, from the team’s hotel on the outskirts of west London. "And to be proud of us in terms of the way we have been playing.

“The other thing is that if we get the chance to win in the semi-final and get through to the final, I think it will be incredible for people in this country to have something to celebrate and enjoy. We want to do that as much as possible. As much as we want to win, we want to put a smile on people’s faces.

“They may be going through a hard time in terms of the fuel costs and the cost of living now, and hopefully we can give people an escape for 90-plus minutes when they turn their TVs on and they will have something to cheer about and something to watch.
He didn’t write the headline ?
Must defend Luke as he’s so far up Saudi arses as well as the fans

I did think they would have done more for kids/locals. LFC have cheap tickets for people in L postcodes for each game. In the grand scheme of things not that many but keeps local kids on board and great PR.

If this were the other way around - Newcastle fans would be buying Sunderland tickets on general sale to prove a point tomorrow morning.
Thats a great idea TBF. Some of the areas around the stadium are really poor, with kids who would likely never get to a game (same as the area around Anfield).

What is the rationale for leaving tickets for non-members? Is that not unfair on the people who bought membership? Effectively I could buy one tomorrow...or some random tourist.
I've seen it discussed that there's apparently a FA/PL rule that clubs need to reserve a certain percentage of tickets for general sale. I've never looked it up so it could be complete rubbish.

For members though, right?

Because earlier you said at Liverpool you could never get a Liverpool ticket as a non-member.

Must be a new thing as towards the back end of last season no league tickets reached general sale.

😂😂😂 Just ignore the one's that have had accounts for ages, are clearly Newcastle supporters and aren't happy with the window. Dear me.
Exactly and I know a few of the Newcastle fans who have tweeted about it, some are actually just taking the piss and saying stuff like if we don’t sign Mbappe I’m going to support Man City etc to get bites from other Newcastle fans and mocking others. Example below.
He’s another bloke who’s an embarrassment to their fanbase that bald fcker.

“Pushing the room service to its limits…” he only spent £50 on room service man hahahaha what a clip
Wasn't he just taking to fans ffs. Doesn't make him a "nonce." Shite crack using that word to insult people who happen to support a different team like.
If he’s communicating with anyone under 16 it’s classed as grooming mate, stop defending his noncey behaviour

Aren't you Mr Pedant.

I stand corrected:

Q. What is the Local General sale?

A. The Local General sale is a sale available to ALL supporters with an L postcode. This initiative was introduced in response to feedback from the Club’s Supporters Committee that local fans should be given further opportunity in gaining access to Anfield.

I am not arsed about it - but if I had bought a membership and miss out to someone who hasn't then I'd be pissed off. No EPL rules enforce a general sale.

They may as well of cut the middle man out & bought Burnley....
But but they are competing with Milan and PSG that’s why they haven’t signed anyone and only 1 player has turned them down apparently

It's classic Ashley tactics to feed to the press that they're in for players of note. Under offer at the price the Mags value them, miss out. Then sign players who no one else is looking at saying they fit the "Project".

Here's a conspiracy theory for you. Mandy has 10% that she owes MA the money for (club sold for £300M making it circa £30M). The Saudis increase the value over 4-5 years to say £1b, meaning that 10% stake is worth £100M. Mike Is suing her for the money & she doesn't have it. Perhaps he's still involved to get the £100m when the "INVESTMENT FUND" sells.

Or summit like that.....

Luke Edwards man  yeah I’m sure England women winning will help those who haven’t got a pot to piss in.
