England v India 5th Test, Edgbaston (1st July) Match Thread


In a previous generation Gavaskar was a top rate ****. I still reckon he was dodgy. And Ravi Shitstir was a corrupt ****.... obviously I have no evidence of this I just suspect they were wankers.

Curry smelling ***** and p**i bastards apparently. If so its appalling and anyone found shouting it should be nowhere near a cricket ground ever again.

Why can't people just go and enjoy a day at the cricket. I was at Lord's for the India test last year and to be honest the coked up wankers supporting England were more of an issue that the Indian fans. None of them appeared to drink and they were all up for a right laugh when it came to taking the piss out of each other.

I appreciate that it maybe different at other grounds.

Unfortunately test match cricket has become an excuse for pissed up wankers to make a complete twat out of themselves. See also darts.

I was amazed how bad it was at Headingley last week. Feels like post lockdown people's behaviour has got worse. Not sure whether it's that or that the country is being ran by a f***ing clown who does what he wants, so people feel validated in going on like that as well.

We paid decent money for tickets (paid by the tiny inheritance we got from my Dad's death) yet there were loads of people near us who had no interest in the cricket, pissed or spending lots of time queuing for the bogs. Unless of course there's a serious issue amongst the male population with IBS

I don't think it is young lads tbf Carty.

I'm 33 and most of the ones acting like tits at Headingley were comfortably 10 years older than me. Either that or the drinks left them looking a lot worse for wear, and no where near as handsome as me.

What was the bizarre similarlity between the First test and Centenary test?

What was the alternative TMS theme tune used for overseas tours in 1970s

Of which bowler did John Allott say 'curious name, neither one thing nor the other'

Name every Durham cricketer to have played international cricket (not necessarily whilst they were playing for Durham.....I don't have the answer to that one!).....and no cheating !!!

I’m not saying it’s not true but it’s amazing this is all coming out when we have seriously got them on the back foot.

Not a word in the other 4 tests because most things were going their way.
