Yes this. The alternative is my not supporting newcastle any more. And not going to the match with my dad as I have done for the last 24 years. Of course there’s mental gymnastics involved. The Saudi state are disgusting.

What? No I wasn’t. I stated that “he made a lot of money from us”. Which he did. In response to someone (you?) saying “I bet he wished he hadn’t bothered”. If he’d have let us collapse he wouldn’t have made money.

The Saudi state do not own club. There are plenty of arguments to be made about links etc, but this is the actual fact. And as such, is why you and I will seemingly never be able to have a conversation about it.

Sigh. You’re not getting it are you? The Saudi state are disgusting enough. They’re beyond that. The only way I can continue to support my team is by accepting the argument put forward (that the PL have accepted) is that the state are not involved in our ownership.

People on here keep asking me what they would need to do. I’m assuming by “they” they mean the Saudi state. But how much lower can they go?? They’re scum.

PIF’s directors are appointed by royal decree and its current board is almost exclusively composed of (Saudi) government ministers. The PIF Law puts it expressly under the direction of a (Saudi Arabian) government ministry. Its function is to serve the national interest of (Saudi Arabia).
