Jack Clarke - Signed

There's no way he will have a future there now really.

Conte is also a short term instant impact manager, like mourinho. He won't care about reserves.
If we are talking about buying him for £3.5m then he's nowhere near the Spurs 1st team plans. It's a great recruitment strategy for us, buying the young lads who haven't quite made the 1st team squads in the top half of the Premier. The only thing that isn't Premier league about us is the division we are currently in, so no surprise were the favourite destination for many young lads with talent, and a burning point to prove.

The more we keep doing it the more that young aspiring players will talk about us as an option. Imagine seeing similar aged players get 1st team chances in 2nd / 3rd tier and become proper pro's. Would make you want to sign for them.

Easy to say when its not my £3.5m (though I have invested money into the club with the purchase of a season card) but it would be a good investment imho.

If we can get Clarke we will have some good attacking options alongside Pritchard, Embleton and and Roberts. Obviously a couple of strikers too are needed.

£3.5m straight in seems steep for Clarke mind. Only has one year left on his desk at Spurs?

Does anyone else even want him?

One year is a little misleading though. They'd be entitled to compo which would be a couple million I'd guess

Still entitled to compensation even though it was Leeds that trained him and he’ll be 22 at the end of his contract? Can’t say I’m au fait with those rules tbh.
Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator! He will want his pound of flesh after spending £10m on him.

Indeed

To say they overpaid at 10m is a bit of an understatement like! Surely even at the time that wasn’t a good deal

Sure its just players under 23 who are out of contract and you offered the same terms again.

Hes also been there years, might even class as homegrown at spurs in PL registration. Usually have to be at a club 3 years before 21.

I think in The Athletic article about him Leeds thought they'd get £3-4m for Clarke then Spurs hoyed £10m at them and Poch didn't even want him.

They signed him for £10m though and he's only 21. There will most definitely be other teams interested and the fee will likely be based on appearances etc. He'd be a fantastic signing.
