The real monkeys paw is that even if they win the CL all of the coverage will focus on their ownership and human rights. We all know what they want more than anything is to be liked,..:which is why they hate us. They’re arrogant wankers and for the most part our lot are very likable,

No one likes them, they really care….to paraphrase the millwall chant.

Something the geordie faithful don't accept but they will turn on him like a pack of hounds if they start the season slowly

I used to play in a midweek 11 a side business league in North Tyneside. We were short one week and needed a ringer and our keeper said his mate could play. In the changing rooms beforehand, our mate walks in with.....Pete Graves.

I've rarely met a more arrogant prick and my mag mates were saying the same. He was giving it the biggun in a pre-match team talk so we just thought "the sky sports presenter must be decent". Obviously he decided he was a striker and he was hilariously awful. Proper headless chicken with two left feet. He took a free kick from about 30 yards and decided he was going to shoot and he just booted the ground and the ball trickled about 2 yards.

Exactly - in August/September they have 4 home games (Forest, City, Palace and B'mouth). I guess the expectation from this is 9 points minimum? Then away they have BHA, Wolves, L'pool, WHU...again the expectation (based on end of last season) will be 6 points minimum. Any less then the pressure will be on him. He came into the job with no downside as they were expected to go down and played backs to wall football to reach safety. Can he play when the expectation is to win games?
