The magazine was Shoot if im not wrong same as the tv footy prog. When l first started supporting Sunderland (early 60’s) if all three teams were in the same division there was a “Cock of the North” trophy awarded to whichever team won the most points in the games between each other. There was also a magazine at the time, name escapes me, but it featured all three teams plus Darlo and Hartlepool…basically just covered north east football.
ThisNot a derby.
It’s in between for me. The atmosphere will be better and there’ll be a bigger attendance, but the same could be said for Coventry, Portsmouth, games over the last few years too. It isn’t at anywhere near the same level as the mags, but it’s definitely more exciting than playing Cardiff at home, for example. It is a derby.
It will be a higher attendance than other games.
The atmosphere will be vastly different.
The last two statement are absolute facts, therefore it cannot be regarded as the same as all other league games.
Probably change it for tv

It’s not a derby.Who's looking forward to it, and which team wound Hank support?
this....Although when I was growing up with footy in the late 70's and throughout the 80s it was definitely a derbyI’ve always seen it as a halfway house derby. Never as big as Newcastle but more than an average game as we all know and work with the odd smog
Where've ye been? Banned?Who's looking forward to it, and which team wound Hank support?
