Derby County deal expected to collapse

But it doesn't stop it at all. An owner could simply buy the ground from Sunderland, who then issue shares in SAFC to the value of the sale, and Sunderland buy them with the sale proceeds.
but if could do that..why would they? ie why not just issue the shares and put the cash in that way iof a new share issue is allowed?
the reason for dpoing the ground sale thiong is because iots an asset disposal..NOT a new issuance of equity when the latter is no longer permitted?

Who actually owns Pride Park now? I know Mel Morris did, and he then had loans agaisnt it by the group linked to Dell but has it been sold now?
Mel Morris still does. If it's security for a loan, that just gives the lenders the right to acquire it should they wish. What's making the Derby deal difficult is that the company he used to acquire Pride Park is not in administration.

some local businessman has bought it, or is in the process of buying it from morris. the local businessman will then lease it cheaply to derby. Morris does owe money to MSD, secured against the ground, but he isnt in default on that, ie the stadium owning company is not in administration, so morris is still the owner.

Thought so, just when you said he doesn't own it anymore I assumed I missed some news and had some hope for Derby, as long as MM is the owner of the stadium the sale looks impossible as a business move for me, even selling to another business person unless its a fan buying with his heart it looks like it could lead to issues in the future.

the guy tryiong to buy it is a local fan doing it for the club.

Somethings got to happen soon. We're surviving on handouts and loans to pay the monthly wage bill. No sign of season tickets going on sale and if they did would anyone buy them when they dont know where the money is going to go. Two unnamed players from the the half dozen or so still in contract after next week are looking at ways of getting out of their contracts due to the current situation (my guess would be Bielik & Buchanan), after that we're a club with nothing, no players of value, no ground or training facilities owned! It's soul destroying for the town not just the supporters.

Sounds horrendous mate and this was something I genuinely feared that could happen at SAFC under the 2 charlatans.

I do think that you'll get a buyer and it seems to me that Ashley is that man. Despite what the great unwashed think, he's actually a decent owner who will stabilise you and get you back to a successful Championship/ struggling Premier League side.

Good luck fella.
