No chance. Today I went and picked up milk, eggs, creamer, bread and some chicken thighs. $88I don't think the OP could survive on a buck 60 here (quid equivalent roughly).

A sack of rice is versatile, loads of stuff you can mix it with to bulk out a mealWhy would you have to live on rice?
A fishing licence and a hunting tag, you never have to buy food ever againWhy would you have to live on rice? Plenty of other stuff just as cheap. The only thing making it difficult is someone's lack of imagination.
I don't know. I'd supplement my diet with the odd moose.
People need to be educated better.Seemingly food banks are finding fewer people are taking dried food (pasta, rice, etc) because they can't afford to cook it.
A moose will last you a looooong timeI don't know. I'd supplement my diet with the odd moose.
I've got my own chickens. I reckon I could survive without buying food at all but I wouldn't want to try.No chance. Today I went and picked up milk, eggs, creamer, bread and some chicken thighs. $88
I suppose I might leave enough for a curry the next dayA moose will last you a looooong time

When I was in Canada I didn't see any wildlife at all. From Montreal to Buffalo over the border.A fishing licence and a hunting tag, you never have to buy food ever again

To boil 2 litres of water for cooking pasta for a whole family will cost about 10p with electricity, less with gas.
The soup kitchen on High Street gets stuff donated as well. They also grow a lot of their own veg.The all do, if they weren't called foodbanks but ultra discount stores we might get a different perspective.
Trouble is I don't imagine you can put 10p on the card if that's what you had.Aye, quite possibly but if you've fuck all left in your prepayment card then there's not much that can be done.
Ottawa to Montreal on Sunday on the road dead 5 racoon, 2 skunk, two groundhog, three white tailed deer. When I was in Canada I didn't see any wildlife at all. From Montreal to Buffalo over the border.
Yeah it's good but you wouldn't have to just live on that. Like we said before making a dhal would be cheap as well. I've only got 35p in my kitty anywayA sack of rice is versatile, loads of stuff you can mix it with to bulk out a mealLogon or register to see this image

Just two affordable food initiatives for anyone who is struggling. I have some of my clients enjoying them. Really useful for people who don’t have much. The top one is great as you get to choose what you want and should really last you the week. Lots of fresh veg and then you get a pick of pasta, rice etc. all good gear and it’s all donated by supermarkets.

Well it’s not really us and rarely the shops wasting the food these days. It’s the factories, processing plants and growers that are wasting it. I think we’re living in times where people are really appreciating the fact that it’s a precious commodityGood stuff, food waste is a disgrace.

I’ve seen loads on the 401, you’ll likely have taken that way unless you went via Ottawa. When I was in Canada I didn't see any wildlife at all. From Montreal to Buffalo over the border.
