Bizarrely brought him on loan, yet he’s the third highest run scorer in this format this season. Pretty good addition considering. You could praise Franklin for that really. Having the foresight to bring a lad in who can score so many runs for us in a struggling side.

You’d rest Raine too would you? A lad who opens the bowling and can bat in either a pinch-hitting role up the order or later in a ‘finishers’ role…. The same Ben Raine who is 5th in the batting averages and 2nd in the bowling.

Never played the game have you WHED lad? It shows.

Stick to whinging about potholes and Father’s Day Tweets kidda.

I notice you’ve not even tried to argue any of the questions I put to you highlighting your flawed logic.

Still didn’t tell us how many academy lads have played in the senior side this season.

Yes, I can see the logic in resting both Raine and Eckersley. These final T20 games are pretty meaningless as we're highly unlikely to qualify. We're down to the bones bowlingwise so important we keep wrap Raine in cottonwool for the championship. Likwise with Eckersley as wehave no reserve wicketkeeper. Ideal opportunity to blood youngsters with pressure off. There's ample evidence,however, that Franklin is anti-academy- there've been none come through in 3 years since he took over. Trevaskis and Potts were already 1st team.

How many Academy lads have played this season Parky? WHED couldn’t tell me, so perhaps you can?

Plus. What ‘criteria’ are you using for ‘none come through’ ? Because in fairness, I don’t think even WHED would claim that the figure is NONE.
