Shame. Botman and Etitike will go to bigger European clubs despite the wealth.

PSG has taken steps to recruit Hugo Ekitike but has delayed while waiting for the coach. Despite an agreement with Newcastle and a Reims-Newcastle deal, the player wants to have every opportunity on the table to decide. Newcastle are looking for a plan B.

I wonder if they can entice Vydra from Burnley

Turns out he is a massive Tommy Robinson fan and racist who would have thought it.

Yes. They were not in free-fall until we beat them. We were the start of their lean patch.
mate, you beat them on the 22nd january. on that date they were 15th in the table and finished 2 places lower. they had the 3rd worst defence at the time and finished second worst. you think thats you causing them to freefall?

I considered Leeds to be half decent. Perhaps not. They did, as highlighted by a previous poster, start a barren spell after we beat them.
My original point, many posts ago, still stands. That being we did not get battered every time we played a half decent side.

Not battered but they barely had the ball.

Dig around these stats:

Look at how low the possession and touches in attacking pen area. This is why I don't think Eddie VIII can turn that team into a top 4/6 side. He has done a great job in keeping NUFC up when many expected them to be down. Too much sentimentality around saying the new messiah, next England manager. If they are as ambitious as they say they are sack him now and get Poch in.

We agree sir. Howe did a sterling job. We looked doomed. Yes we spent heavily but he still deserves plaudits. Had we been relegated he would have been blamed and, probably, sacked.
I do not believe anyone could get the current side into the top 6. If the aim is challenge the top 6 then move on to, attempting to challenge, the top 4 the recruitment will have to be very smart. Will also need a lot of patience (usually in short supply from football fans) and a fair amount of luck.
Offer Pochettino a fortune.. money talks. Nothing wrong in trying.
