No. I joined this forum June 30th 2019 which was well before any takeover.
And also I have absolutely nothing to defend.

Aye, I agree.

With some, I would tend to agree in terms of wanting to be a Man City type.
As for using Johnson. I'd say Johnson will do what's best for Johnson and crew, not what's best for Newcastle fans.

It'll always be that to those who despise Saudis and Newcastle fans and the city and so on.
I think all countries need to change with many many things, including atrocities, oppression, and whatnot.

I absolutely agree with some.

I spend time here for a number of reasons.
Having my say in this particular thread is just counterarguing against the many different takes on things.
I won't apologise for being on here or being a Newcastle United fan and supporter.

I haven't sold the soul of Newcastle United. I'm a Newcastle United fan and supporter whether the club was non-league or premier league champions.
However, the football authorities have allowed football clubs to be sold to the devil and this is why we're dealing with mega-billionaire owners and no mega-billionaires are going to get to that stage by being nice.
So your mega billionaire is no worse than any other ? Have a word

Over time there were many fans jumping on the hate bandwagon but it didn't start with him not throwing money at the club because he actually laid it all out and did spend.
It was Keegan leaving that kicked it all off and it spiraled from there.

That some fans expected, but not all.

Some fans argued about all kinds of stuff on spending. I actually didn't agree with a lot of it.

I've never shown my disproval for any owners/custodians of Newcastle United in a letter or physical protest. I've mumbled and bickered with friends and people over many a custodian, though.

I've no need to bleat on about owners. There are enough people out there to do that.

A stain to those who want to use their selective moral judgment. To me, Newcastle United will never be a stain.
Owners come and go and whatever they are in terms of a stain will be washed out as they leave if their actions towards the club are deemed bad.
What people use outside of that is up to them.

Absolutely.

My focus is trying to get as much enjoyment from Newcastle United.
Newcastle United will always offer up the good the bad and the ugly like all clubs do.

Fans will hate fans.
People will have different ideals.
You have ideals? Ha ha ha ha ha

That is f***ing horrendous! How can the likes of Staveley sleep? Or any female fan of that club?…..
For that matter how does a MALE that supports Newcastle United Football Club sleep if they know about this (or turn a blind eye to the ‘rumours’ and don’t look into them)

They're f***ing mags, what do you expect?

I don't think there's another set of fans in the country would accept these savages.

I think it'll take around 18 months. At the moment they don't want to upset "His Excellency" and go with...

There are better players out there
It's good we won't be held to ransom (ironic)
Don't want him if he's not up for the Project
We are not in Europe

Those excuses won't wash soon.

They have given Dummett & Longstaff new contract & their reasoning is its a slow build. FFP will.also have an effect.

It could happen sooner if the Government fall out with the Saudis

You're right about Botman. When they turn it'll be epic & they'll have never wanted the Murdering Bastards in the first place.
Don't feel you have to watch this but it gives you an idea of the level or expectancy. Cup finals and battling league titles with over 80k attaendances. saying they could fill the ground twice over and fans from around the globe will want to visit as they do man united and liverpool.

Would anyone have cared about Keegan if once he was gone, Ashley had spent money on the club and delivered a trophy?

Would anyone have cared about Zero hour contracts if Ashley had spent money and delivered a trophy

Would anyone have cared about the renaming of a stadium if he had spent money and delivered a trophy.

The answer is no. They'd have been happy to be surrounded by his branding and probably defending him when zero hour contracts were raised by others.

And if the Saudis don't deliver the image of the club that many of your fans expect.... then you know what will happen? They'll turn, and will suddenly start caring about human rights in Riyaddh.

And suddenly all those protests/petitions will have been all about "anti corruption" and nothing to do with wanting MBS and PiF involved.

Richest club in the world. Another one who, if he signs for Milan, has basically told them to fuck their "Project"
Or if he signs for Milan has chosen one of the European greats over Newcastle... an obvious choice really. I would be shocked if he didn't to be honest.

Because everyone at Newcastle only cares about money.

1. No.
2. Aside from a minority No.
3. Yes.

Do you think the fans would accept the "Saudi Arabian Airlines Stadium" if it meant the new management would buy expensive players?

I think you might be surprised, how quickly it was welcomed.
Can only speak for myself, those i know. In that regard no. That said we have a stadium that will be full with, more than likely, a genuine waiting list so the answer from the majority is probably yes.
I am a traditionalist. I don't like change. When we were mooted to be looking at a new stadium, away from SJP, i was totally against it. I realise progress generally means change. I also realise that this is different, for totally different reasons.

I think many would be happy with Red & White stripes at home if we had M'Bappe up front!!

Executing bairns, f***ing savages that's all they are
Some of the comments from mags, unbelievable, especially that dad of two

A dad of 4 boys and 1 girl....could be any of his boys in that position. Sentenced to death, at 14, via an unfair process by virtue of being in one of the least free countries in the world.

But it is alright because they (KSA) put 11bn into UK Economy and in any case UEFA is ran by Qatar and the EPL is funded by the MENA region. What kind of warped person do you need to be to not be outraged over the death of a 14 year old simply because of who owns your football team. I fecking give up.

I agree that a colour change would be a step too far, but stadium naming rights are becoming more and more common, even down the lower leagues.

I think the vast majority of your fans would welcome the Saudi Arabian Airlines Stadium if it meant big money spent on players.

The only reason the majority wouldn't welcome the Sports Direct Stadium was because Ashley wasn't splashing the cash.

I'm a traditionalist like you though, so I get where you are coming from 100%

But I think at Newcastle you are probably in the minority

Says it all about them though doesn't it. I've not yet heard one mag saying 'where's this supposed investment in the region' All its ever been about is becoming the new Man City everthing they faux put out there aside from buying the club was just to get it passed.
They know that the mags are divvies

I don’t know whether it’s sad or funny

It’s pathetic on their part though
