Derby County deal expected to collapse

It was defo Mel Morris. He is a fan at the end of the day who tried to live the supports dream but fcuked it up massively.
Maybe so, he appointed the administrators and apart from a brief statement saying he would deal with the Gisbon issue personally he's not been heard of in months. I've always had time for him, did what he thought was best for everyone but got completely swept up in it all. really arrogant man though, its ok to be like that when you are building success but looks shocking when it all goes wrong. He just didnt accept any blame and still controls the clubs assets
Step forward Don Amott... king of the caravans ! If only he had the money needed.

Absolutely shocking what’s gone on with DCFC. Really feel for everyone who supports Derby.
Im sure Don's been involved in the past, he was part of a local 'League of Gentlemen' that got involved, ended up with the 12 point season. So that went well!!

Makes me appreciate even more what Short did when selling the club (regardless of who to), if that debt had been part of the deal I'm not sure we would still be here 4 seasons later. Hope it all works out for Derby, Bury was 1 club too many given the pittance in relative terms it was wound up for.

You need the takeover to happen and then some of the kids to get some big money transfers to get the sell on fee and invest it into the team / club. Be interesting to see if that’s something that attracts interest from a futures buyer. Think Delap has a decent percentage of city ever sell him.

Good bloke Don !
We sold a good kid to Liverpool for peanuts but with a decent sell on clause. Livepool have seen the situation were in and bought the sell on clause off us which presumably has gone to paying bills

Oh really? Wasn’t aware of that, suppose it’s cash coming in now I guess

How comes Bury got bombed out the league but Derby seem to be getting massive leaway? Am I missing something? Im sure there will be a reason but can anyone explain

Bury were allowed to go past the fixtures coming out and even played the first few games of the season.
edit just checked and they had the first match of 2019/20 cancelled in the week leading up to it

Hoping Ashley's ego thinks he can buy a club for next to nowt and turn it into a big club again, preferably back to the top league, we're fucked if not.

Problem is he wont pay the Administrators £5 million+, he wont pay the main creditors anything like the amount that will save us getting another 15 point deduction and he wont want to be paying Mel Morris for renting his stadium. A lot to be ironed out in two weeks. I cant see a way out of this tbh. Feel gutted tonight, first time it's really hit me.
Unfortunately I think the same, I can’t see Derby getting out of this. It’s so late in the day and the deal is expensive and complicated.

Bloody awful situation to find yourselves in mate. As usual it’s the fans who are hardest hit.
Hope that Ashley can sort it and can bend the other parties involved to his will.
Fingers crossed for you.

So a week or so before we get liquidated Ashley has decided to launch a claim against the administrators, it's got personal between the money men now, disgusts me that ego's seem to have taken over and all fans can do is sit back and do nothing.

Both deals on the table now rely on the ground being sold by Mel Morris. One bid involves Sam Rush who Morris has already had a years long court battle with and the other is with Ashley who is offering well below whats been deemed acceptable.

Surely if Ashley offers anything at all it has to be more acceptable than nothing, cos that's all anyone will end up with otherwise.

What's deemed acceptable is irrelevant tbh.

Anything is worth what the market is prepared to pay.

It has to be said there isn't a huge bidding war going on.
