It's not Digne's fault Villa finished below us. It's a mixture of the way both squads worked.
They had Digne and we had Targett. We finished stronger.

Hypocrisy is hypocrisy no matter what context is used, whether that be what you said or anything deemed more relevant or serious or whatever.
My argument is simply, that we are all hypocrites. It just depends on when it rears its head with each individual.

@king of the road - I’m not convinced myself. Newcastle fans, from my experience, seem to require external endorsement. You couldn’t be further from Millwall’s mentality if you tried though of course the promise of hundreds of millions can easily change fan behaviour.

There you again, lumping all fans together as one. Imagine this board if all Sunderland fans thought in a homogeneous way. Would be absolute shite and the politics board would cease to exist 😀.
I can only speak for the lads I know, we couldn’t give a rat’s f*ck whether we are loved or hated.
What I can say is that on the whole, we are welcomed as fans and away fans generally love coming to Newcastle for an away day.

Didn’t take you long to revert to type.

The fact that you know who Tariq is tells us everything. He is a niche writer for the NYT that I have known for years (way before takeover) who pre takeover had a few k followers. Now has 75k+ followers. He finds the mag attention hilarious.

I don’t read anything by the three mag journos you cite as quickly realised they are essentially a NUFC mouth piece rather than impartial journalists.
