Good to have WCW back, it’s been a miss.

The worst thing about the MJF promo is what is the point? As Dusty would say: “where is the money?” It’s not leading to a match with Tony Khan. And no one wants him as an on-air character like Mr. McMahon either. So what was the point? Pop some fans with stupid shooty nonsense? Terrible terrible business.

How is it terrible business to engage your audience and involve them in the situation? That’s what you want to feel a part of what is happening, it’s clearly leading to MJF winning the title off punk probably in Chicago (nuke heat) and actually doing what punk done in wwe, leaving with the belt ‘until he signs a contract”,
Everyone winges on like Fannies when no one stay’s in character anymore and when we get one who does people complain about him staying in kayfabe and working the boys, people need to make their minds up 😂
(Not calling you a fanny by the way 😂 more aimed at people like Bischoff and Cornette)

Couple of mates who have outed themselves as wrestling fans have text about the MJF promo. Still think it was absolutely class. Everyone agrees apart from one poster earlier, hope they’ve changed their mind.

Punk is injured, needs surgery (fuck sake) doesn’t sound like he is relinquishing the title which I’m not a fan off (depending how long he’s off for) but commentary said he is so I have no idea 😂
If he doesn’t drop it, I guess we’ll get an interim champion (Jericho is adamant it’s relinquished on commentary though)

Depends what the story is. He doesn't have to feud with Khan but him calling out the rest of the roster and saying they aren't fit to lace his boots opens up an easy feud for him with just about anyone who steps up to say otherwise.

Also a good way to completely sever the Wardlow feud as it had nowhere to go but MJF ain't the type of character to let things go unless he has to. He's now lost his last three major feuds so he needs to move into a winning feud now and this allows him to move on but keep his heat by acting like an entitled prick.

Maybes they will use Khan though, he doesn't even have to appear even, they could just say that he is sick of MJF calling him out on holding him down and thus he's gonna get his shit to prove otherwise. Or he could hold him to ransom with his contract set to run out to get a title shot at somepoint.

I doubt they wanna put him in with Punk of the bat bit they could do worse than have him run over a few upper tier faces the next few months before getting his shot at the end of the year when his contract is coming to an end.

Say he beats Hangman, Christian, Same Joe etc up till then (just plucked some faves at random, could be anyone) then claim he's proved hes the top guy and he wants a title shot or he signs with WWE. Khan gives him his shot at Punk and then MJF wins. Dudes made.

Wasnt even heel, just think the long term storytelling with omega was great and Page has gone away from that character since he became champ

I think pages character has always been more about self doubt and wanting to belong and I see that continuing since he has lost the title. Mind that Omega and Page story telling was phenomenal. And I’ve always loved a drinking cowboy shit character 😂

Well that Punk injury has certainly thrown a spanner into the works.
Moxley would be the obvious choice as replacement.
Any news when Omega is due back? Really hoped he'd be facing Okada at Forbidden Door.

Omega won’t be back till the end of the year at the earliest apparently, they’ve been delaying the trios titles for when he gets back.
If Okada is on (you’d think he will be) I’m sure we’ll find out after next week as he has a title match with Jay white, if it’s Danielson that’s a moty contender instantly.

MJF as interim would be good to continue the angle with him and punk but I can’t look past Mox v Tanahashi at forbidden door, I guess depending on the length of punk being out, say it’s two month they could have Tanahashi win it and stay in the U.S defending against people weekly until punk comes back.

Gotta go with MJF as interim title, it's too perfect not to. Really let him go full on shithead heel.

First of all he wins the Battle Royal by feining injury sitting at ringside with the doctors until Wardlow eliminates the last person, his music hits and is celebrating when MJF sneaks in and throws him out.

He then beats Mix as JAS come down and then a full on brawl ensues with BCC/Kingston/LAX and MJF takes advantage to smash Moxs head in with the ring.

From there he goes on a reign of terror:

1. Claiming Khan is keeping him down by not giving him the main title and keeping it for when crock Punk returns.

2. Mocks Punk about being a old past it injury prone has been building up to the unification.

3. Claims he is carrying the company and not getting his full props by carrying an interim title.

Punk returns, they build up the match both claiming they are the true champion. Have it get to MJFs contract and have him mimmick Punk saying he's gonna take the title and walk out with it taking it to WWE. Have him cut a promo from the top of the ramp just like punk.

Have him win by taking advantage of Punks 'injuries' then he can come out and say he signed his new contract months ago. MJF is now tip heel in the company.

Then have Punk turn heel by killing Yuta and taking his place in BCC and then have Punk, Mox and Bryan become a proper NWO type stable rather than have an odd man out in the stable.

One thing to mention if you watch punks promo last night he usually mentions young talent but he only mentioned Moxley and Danielson 2 “ex wwe guys” as MJF put it the other night.
Still can only see Moxley and Tanahashi in the interim though they’ll of had the next 6 months are so planned out especially with the MJF angle so I don’t think they’ll want to change to much.
I think it would be great if MJF did win it but me personally I would prefer his first title run be with the real title and not an interim, I still stick with he beats punk next for the title though.
 
And while all this goes on, Cody Rhodes picks up a legitimate injury with a torn off the bone pec muscle. They keep saying he's still going to fight Seth Rollins tonight but I'm not bothered enough to stay up and see if he does.
 
Kyle O’reilly wins, would of preferred Andrade out of the final few but oh well, I’m happy Kyle is getting more exposure though think he’s great, got to be Tanahashi v Moxley then which I’m completely up for, give Moxley the belt with a crowd after he had it during covid era

Jeff hardy got arrested last night for another DUI and with a suspended license 🤦‍♂️ bloke needs help (again) probably fucked the tag title match up as well which I’m sure Matt will be ecstatic about, at least it’s only drink and not owt else still shit to see.
Also it’s still a ***** trick to endanger not just yourself but others by driving when drunk.
