Derby County deal expected to collapse

For anyone interested...............after listening to the local sports special it does seem that Ashley is waiting in the wings and WILL get the club. Current bloke cant complete the deal for whatever reason, administrators are going to remove his period of excusivity, Ashley and another unknown group are waiting with lesser offers that the administrators/creditors/EFL will be forced to accept. Played his usual blinder by all accounts, will pick the club up for next to nowt IF this Yank Kirchner cant get the deal over the line next 24 hours. Still massive questions about what Mel Morris is upto behind the scenes and his relationship with Ashley/Kirchner.
I think the best thing for all concerned at Derby would be for Ashley to take over. He'd certainly get you back on a even keel financially. The only reason the mags disliked him is because he wouldn't spend beyond the clubs means. His business practices might not please everyone but at least you know he's got the money to run the club.

Having Mike Ashley come in is only just better than Derby going bust

Tin hat on but I would welcome him to Sunderland... Those deluded cretins north of the Tyne never appreciated or acknowledged he actually ran them very well.

There's a reason every set of fans (not just Newcastle) think Ashley was shite apart from Sunderland fans.

Be dreadful if he came here.

Why? Because he ran them properly and didn't piss his money up the wall? Abramovic setting the trend of an owner being expected to plough money into a club is part of what's killing football.
Made a few mistakes (probably the biggest one appointing wor alan) but nowhere near as bad an owner as the gravy stained unwashed smelly twats make out

I don't like him or his business practices but they'd bounce back under his tenure, there's no doubt about that

Really..??

How do you work that one our like?

Bloke spent £40m+ to get the mags back into Premier League after relegation, left them with money in bank and more than stable finances following the sh*tshow he inherited.
Say what you like but this above is correct.. The Halls & Shepherds left the scum in a right hole before Ashley jumped in, literally, without effective DD.

Because he'd probably spend a few quid just to them off up the road.
He cannot match PIF’s spending power so it’s irrelevant and long term I get why the Mags thought Ashley was toxic with turgid football and a desire to only avoid relegation each year

He will get teams to the promised land and then be happy with the odd relegation here and there - that’s not good enough for us or Derby

do PIF have plans to long term spend the poer they have?

A real chance we could be liquidated over the next few days. No sign of the American sorting things by the deadline at 5pm, two other offers that were in the background now both apparently lost their main investors. Ashley sat waiting to pick us up for peanuts probably as we've been liquidated

seems ashley is haggling with the administrators over how much in fees he has to pay them
