Last article must have been about the plans being submitted, this must be that consent has now been granted.

A hotly-anticipated addition to Riverside Sunderland’s leisure offer has been given the green light by the city’s planning committee.
Its good these developments are occurring now. Shame places have fell into disrepair. It shows the centre of Sunderland hasn’t been a priority.
Hopefully between all the stakeholders, places like the sheepfolds can compliment the centre.
I think they need to attract businesses to places like the sheepfolds too….not use it just for housing.

They have their heads completely buried in the sand and refuse to acknowledge the vast amount of development happening in that immediate area which will require extra parking spaces.
Don’t even want to imagine the further meltdown when a new car park is started in Holmeside.

The people going mental now at the car park will probably explode when they find out there's yet to be a bridge from the car park to vaux to be built

Shame they never attempted
Shame the spirit of Sunderland building never happened. Not sure what the logic of putting multi storey car parks around are? St.Mary’s is actually close to the station……..unless that is getting demolished?
There’s never really been that same ambition as those old proposed developments for the vaux or holmeside. They’ve just settled for whatever they could attract
