Agreed, it's far from simplistic and there can be many pitfalls along the way.
However, I'm trying to look at it from an optimistic mindset.

I'm more than happy with all of those, seriously.
I think we'll get a few decent signings over the line to add to what we have.

I know this will sound cliche but it's almost like we have new signings with the way some players have responded to Eddie Howe and co.
Joelinton looks like a new version and can only get better under Howe, I think. And even Wilson is back, on top of having Trippier fit again after only having a few games for us.

Just a few decent signings and I think we can give a few top teams a bloody nose and finish in a respectable position, potentially inside the top 10 and go from there.

As it stands I'm fairly happy.
I think we need to offload a good few while we bring in some quality and then get to work gelling them in.

To be totally honest I don't expect but I'd sincerely hope we could be pushing hard within the champions league places.
I'd be over the moon if we could finish 4th after 5 years and anything else would be a massive fantastical bonus.

Having said that I can also see that many clubs have tried and failed to get a grip on the top 4 or 5 but the truth is if I see us playing decent football and having a good go and even making slow progress, I'd settle for that for however long it took.

To be brutally honest I'd never heard of it until I saw the posts on here after we were taken over.
Give over man pinnocheo

Keeping Wilson fit would be a major asset I agree, but you have a lot of deadwood there and you will have to declare your squad and I can’t see you making that turnover of players to massively improve.
I agree with the Wilson comment and also the deadwood.
Having said that I think we're already on the way to offloading surplus.
I think in a week or two we''ll offload a good 8, whether it be permanent moves or loans.

Any leftover that refuse to move would simply not be added to the squad and more or less be training for fitness.

It will be interesting anyway to see the calibre of player you can entice there
Aye, I agree.
I'm looking forward to seeing what we can entice with this new setup.

But so could Leicester, Villa, West Ham, Everton, Wolves etc. etc.

A smallish club wins the league every 20 or so years. See Leicester, Blackburn and Forest.
Agreed - I’m just making the point that you don’t need to break FPP rules to be successful- having said that I’m looking forward to furore when the Mags are nowhere near the top six come December time

Dummet, Longstaff & Targett speaks absolutely nailed on Top 4 to me. It's not going the way they thought. Couldn't happen to a nicer club. MURDERERS

Selling their soul to the devil for Kingston Park and North Shields* finest 😅

*Barring Patterson of course

I don't understand why a club with 'unlimited money' is giving longstaff, schar and Dummet new deals and paying £15m for Targett who villa don't want.

Nobody has ever said unlimited money is available, it’s impossible for a start due to FFP, building slowly and making sensible signing to try and improve the club and league position each season. It hasn’t happened for best part of 15 years and it’s brilliant to see.
