The question that really had them squirming was when they were asked if they would play a tournament if asked by Putin
"Is there anywhere you wouldn't play if the money was right?"
"I don't have to answer that".

They’ve certainly had a grilling, and somehow I don’t think it will go away not that it will bother them. Hopefully it will put the focus back on Newcastle and maybe more direct, probing questions"Is there anywhere you wouldn't play if the money was right?"
"I don't have to answer that".

This didn’t age very well…..Absolutely fabulous
These ITK's on twitter claiming Fun88 wouldn't continue when they signed a new "long term" deal in 2021! Why on earth would they walk away?
But if they are the richest clerb in the world why didn't they make Fun88 an offer they can't refuse?
What was his answer? The question that really had them squirming was when they were asked if they would play a tournament if asked by Putin
They refused to answer, Poulter just squirmed and went schtum, Westwood then said it was hypothetical and left it at that. What was his answer?

It’s worth watching, especially for Mickelson. It’s comedy gold watching him and the others squirm and splutter
Also what the other clubs who were taken over did (thinking Blackburn, Chelsea and city) they also made signings that destabilised their rivals in the process. City for instance signed Blackburn’s best striker (they were top 8 side at the time), took players off Villa (they were 6th at the time) and also butchered arsenals side very summer (one of the ‘big 4’ at the time).Newcastle, who are trying to break into the top 4, bought 30 year old Dan Burn for £13M from Brighton.
Arsenal, who finished 5th last season, bought 24 year old Ben White for £50M from Brighton.
Man Utd, the biggest club in England finished 6th last season.
Apart from Arteta, the other top 5 managers all have league titles and cup successes on their CV's.
That in a nutshell shows how far Newcastle have to go to compete at the top end of the Premier League.
With Dan Burn type signings and Beheaddie Howe as manager they are currently light years away from that level.
The Chelsea and Man City days of buying the league are over thanks to FFP.Also what the other clubs who were taken over did (thinking Blackburn, Chelsea and city) they also made signings that destabilised their rivals in the process. Yep and the same will happen to them. They are making a big thing about this Ashworth being the real deal but I recall Everton poaching that supposedly brilliant technical bloke from Leicester, and look at how that ended up as you say …. The vermin I don’t think would even be able to attract the best players from the also rans like them. I’m thinking here Zaha, Ward-Prowse, Coady … let alone decent players from the likes of Spurs and Arsenal. The Chelsea and Man City days of buying the league are over thanks to FFP.
Everton spent £450M trying to break into the top 4 / 6. They now can hardly buy a single player thanks to FFP.
Agreed, it's far from simplistic and there can be many pitfalls along the way.I can see where you are coming from with your thought process but it isn’t as simplistic as you make out.
IMO you might, and I say might, get one decent signing over the line. But then, as I said earlier, you have Dummett, Longstaff, Burn, Wood and now Targett amongst others on contract. They must be expected to be included in your squad?
To be totally honest I don't expect but I'd sincerely hope we could be pushing hard within the champions league places.Realistically, and this is by no means a leading question, where do you expect your club to be in say 5 years time
To be brutally honest I'd never heard of it until I saw the posts on here after we were taken over. That vile murdering Newcastle dude when asked about sportswaaging
"I've never heard of this terminology"the f***ing knacker
Good. He’s average at bestSee Targett has signed permanently for £15m.
Deluded garbage bordering on Saudi propaganda. There are people worldwide with no affiliation with Sunderland who won’t let this drop, Amnesty International for one.You must be logged on to see external links
what a sad Mag knacker this bloke is. Probably crayoned this whilst wearing his Blue Star shirt, grey fleece pants & Adidas brown ale trainers. The scruffy sportswashed terrorist apologist.
Keeping Wilson fit would be a major asset I agree, but you have a lot of deadwood there and you will have to declare your squad and I can’t see you making that turnover of players to massively improve. It will be interesting anyway to see the calibre of player you can entice thereAgreed, it's far from simplistic and there can be many pitfalls along the way.
However, I'm trying to look at it from an optimistic mindset.
I'm more than happy with all of those, seriously.
I think we'll get a few decent signings over the line to add to what we have.
I know this will sound cliche but it's almost like we have new signings with the way some players have responded to Eddie Howe and co.
Joelinton looks like a new version and can only get better under Howe, I think. And even Wilson is back, on top of having Trippier fit again after only having a few games for us.
Just a few decent signings and I think we can give a few top teams a bloody nose and finish in a respectable position, potentially inside the top 10 and go from there.
As it stands I'm fairly happy.
I think we need to offload a good few while we bring in some quality and then get to work gelling them in.
To be totally honest I don't expect but I'd sincerely hope we could be pushing hard within the champions league places.
I'd be over the moon if we could finish 4th after 5 years and anything else would be a massive fantastical bonus.
Having said that I can also see that many clubs have tried and failed to get a grip on the top 4 or 5 but the truth is if I see us playing decent football and having a good go and even making slow progress, I'd settle for that for however long it took.
To be brutally honest I'd never heard of it until I saw the posts on here after we were taken over.
But the Mags could do a Leicester could they not?The Chelsea and Man City days of buying the league are over thanks to FFP.

But so could Leicester, Villa, West Ham, Everton, Wolves etc. etc.But the Mags could do a Leicester could they not?
