Yet with all that has happened in the past I genuinely don't think there's a greater example of a club selling its soul than a once proud traditional NE club being a flimsy cover for what is one of the most barbaric nation states on earth.

Get excited about splashing the cash whilst burying your head in the sand about what you "club" now is.
It's only going to get worse though, the Mag takeover has hit new heights (or lows rather) but it's just going to happen more and more as money is thrown about to try and cover up the truth behind it all.

The bottom line in all of this is that very few humans genuinely care about one another as a whole. People are only bothered about themselves, people within their social or family circle or something they can relate to close to them. An example of this is that you've got golfers now taking multi-millions of pounds out of a state, for pure greed. The same golfers who cry out when there has been a shooting in a US Elementary School leaving children dead yet are more than happy to take money from an investment fund who's Chairman has directly ordered the bombing and murdering of families and children for years.

The whole thing stinks and no sport should have allowed the Saudi regime to be placed onto a pedestal.

Well, let's be totally honest.
The stadium holds £52,000 and a few hundred. The population of Newcastle and surrounding areas, not to mention the worldwide fans. Not all are going to go to every game and many will likely never get to go to many games if any.
Having said that, it still entitles those who don't go for whatever reasons...a voice.

You do not have to be able to sit inside the stadium to be a fan and supporter.
This applies to all clubs.

I agree. But in my experience, the rational, decent voices I hear from Newcastle are predominantly coming from people who attend at least a few matches a season.

The ones who dont think ASM is some kind of world beating footballing genius for example are the people who watch him. The rest seem to think he's something he isn't because he is a bit fast and has some fancy footwork

Ashley = boo get out of our club and protests.

Savage head chopping bombers = 100k petition to save us but its not our fault we are victims at the whim of our owners
Football is now so spoiled that for fans, the only way they see winning something is to be mega rich. Its shit. And that loyalty and desire to win for fans can then be used to sportswash or do whatever you want and be cheered on doing so. Fans in the main feel they can't or won't walk away. Common sense goes out the window. Add to that a slice of ignorance or whatever and ultimately the owners have you in their pocket.

Look at recent owners for you. Short spent loads then one day just decided to not anymore. That's unfair. It's It's Fans who suffered as the team became less competitive and faced two relegations. Donald and Methven using your club as a vehicle to make some money. That's the club you love, that they see as that. Fans suffer. Its shit. Its not right.

They are different extremes of the same disease.
I think "football already sold its soul" is the most reasonable argument a Newcastle can make. However, the vast majority of their fanbase have decided to completely double-down on the Saudi love.

The other part of that is that they're all convincing themselves that something special or different is happening at the club, when in reality it really isn't so far. They've generally made some sensible appointments and signings, but it's nothing different to what average mid-table clubs in the PL have been doing for years. There's absolutely no reason to be jealous of them being slightly higher up in the mid-table, which is where they have been as a club, more-or-less, for about 50 years. We're used to it.
You should never be jealous of another football club IMO. Your club is your club.
Because he is a thick, fat Geordie would be my guess
It wasn't the losing games for me with Bruce. It was the excuses. Blaming fans, blaming fans of teams he has managed before, blaming referees. Same clichés game after game.

Well 10k did under Ashley.

The amount of arguments I have had about ASM over the last few months....

Well 10k did under Ashley.
But came back with free tickets. Ultimately people get dragged back in.

The Mags are now officially the team of The Tories. Wankers all… from Reuben to the Saudi backing Tory fans.

Like everyone else involved, Phil Mickelson is now sprinting away at full speed from his comments about a potential breakaway Saudi-funded golf league.
In a blatant attempt to strongarm the PGA, Mickelson told writer Alan Shipnuck that the Saudis are “scary motherf-----s to get involved with” and pointed out that they “execute people over there for being gay.” But to Mickelson, getting in bed with Saudi money would be worth it for the “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reshape how the PGA Tour operates.”
Mickelson’s peers bashed him as “naive, selfish, egotistical, ignorant” as even the golfers rumored to be joining him fled from the concept, seemingly killing it on arrival.
Now Phil is very sorry — to the Saudis who he openly said “have a horrible record on human rights” — and to his current sponsors who fill up his bank account. My experience with LIV Golf Investments has been very positive,” he said in a statement Tuesday. “I apologize for anything I said that was taken out of context.” Mickelson blamed the reporter for accurately quoting him. He said that Shipnuck’s story was “off-record comments being shared out of context,” which Shipnuck immediately said was “completely false.” The 51-year-old Mickelson blamed vague “pressure and stress” for his unusually frank comments about the Saudi league. “I have made a lot of mistakes in my life and many have been shared with the public,” he said in Tuesday’s statement. “The past 10 years I have felt the pressure and stress slowly affecting me at a deeper level. I know have not been my best and desperately need some time away to prioritize the ones I love most and work on the man I want to be.”

Aye Phil $200million dollars will help you forget, sad bastard

F#ck the dying kids in Yemen then!
Your words, not mine.
Are you saying NUFC have fans all around the globe?
No. I'm saying Newcastle has fans worldwide.
Because he is a thick, fat Geordie would be my guess
Close. I'm a thick-fat Newcastle United fan from Hartlepool.

I think it all depends on what each individual will think a rational and decent voice is.
No matches or 1 match or 5 matches to a season ticket. Each person can discuss the merits and downfalls of all players.
Some fans will think Maxi is a flawed genius and some will think he's flawed and bit-part...and so on.

I don't know how many fans you talk to but surely they all don't think the same.
I talk to many Newcastle fans and Sunderland fans and so on and I see massive disagreements among them all.

Well 10k did under Ashley.
But the stadium filled back up.

Aye, it's definitely gone too far down the nasty greedy route.

The way I see it is very simple. We can go on the crest of a wave for a period of time or we can struggle along.
We are more than used to the good bad and indifference this club brings so it's a case of jumping on that ride and taking the rough and the smooth of it, with some actual hope of better instead of standing still.
I think a lot of what you say is chasing shadows tbh. You are in a vicious circle with top players seemingly reluctant to sign, and any, if any, will be there for the money and not having the heart or passion to be there. That leads, if my thoughts are correct, to you having to settle for underwhelming signings and hardly any progress being made.
