Sadly that wont be true. This just shows how much money they will throw at the Mags when they can get around FFP

They have 100's of millions of FFP capacity already.

The golf situation is different - they are streaming it live, playing over 3 days and having a simultaneous start on day 1 to make it more watchable. This is why the USPGA is scared.

In half a season Eddie Howe has turned Newcastle from relegation no-hopers to 11th by bringing in select players who would've been deemed questionable signings (Burn and Targett) and also adding in experience (Trippier) and real midfield talent (Bruno) with an over the top and very questionable striker (Wood), coupled with a major fitness upturn and a near overall focus and quality upturn of underperforming players.

If Eddie Howe can achieve that in half a season and with a basic rush hour attempt to solve issues, I'd be more than happy to say I'm absolutely excited to hell to see who he can bring in and what he can gain for a squad that will be revamped and down to him and his staff.

Nothing is ever guaranteed in football and we all know things can and generally do go wrong as much as going right.
One thing's for sure. It's exciting to wonder who else we bring in and what the new season holds for us under Eddie and crew.

Whoever casts us aside is fine by me. I don't want any player that has to be dragged to the club.
I want players that want to be at the club and none that are not happy or even desperate to want to play for this fantastic club.

To be fair he's not garbage.
He's a decent manager who has shown he can do a job at many clubs.
Unfortunately for him, his time at Newcastle was tainted but he still managed 2 decent finishes when you consider what he had at his disposal and it appears under the constraints of the hierarchy.

What he should be doing is concentrating on West Brom and not digging holes for himself.
I know we have had this discussion and I could not disagree more. He's a busted flush, despised by fans at nearly every club he's managed including Sunderland and Newcastle. There's a reason for that.

Just my opinion but I think they see the golf as investment. If they throw enough cash at it now they can break the stranglehold of the US PGA.

Whereas football, at the top level, is essentially a plaything with no return other than whitening the image. But that being said they have a huge room for manoeuvre with FFP but they aren't using it.

:lol: I know you're fishing but the fantastic club reference tickled me. You're a shell of a club acting as a vehicle to launder the image of one of tbr most disgusting nation states on earth. A club that literally has sold its soul like no other in modern football.

Mate, none of this is about investment. It's about tarting their horrendous image up.

Believe it or not these guys are very shrewd investors and if left to themselves this would be a pure investment play....... but it is whether they are left to themselves.

You're an utterly vile football club. The worst of the worst

They are also hugely concerned with tarting their hideous image up. The money being chucked at the golf is just ridiculous.

Assuming Pete sportswashed Graves is retweeting this to encourage the scum to take the piss.

I'm by no means championing him as anything special. What I am saying is, that he is a decent enough manager and can get a lot from his teams for a limited amount of time until it all comes undone.
His time with Newcastle was ok at first when you consider he was basically up against it. He wasn't wanted by many and he was basically trying to ride on the wave of a messiah (Benitez) to some along with his obvious association with Sunderland.

Basically, he did ok under the circumstances but his position became more and more untenable.
I'm glad he's gone but I bear no ill will towards him.

Ah I known what you're saying mate, I just completely disagree haha.

Well, it's like this. Football has been sold to the devil long before Newcastle's owners came on board.

That's fair enough because it's all about opinions and it would be boring if opinions had to follow one line of thought, so fair play.
I can actually see your side to it as well but I simply offer the man a little bit of leeway in some parts.

Imagine thinking about this... So glad it's not Sunderland

And I think that's probably how I view it. Newcastle are the latest victim of a disease that probably crept into football when Abramovic bought Chelsea.

I have said before, the whole rotten lot can crash down for me to be honest. The money in football is scandalous.
