Well that's on him then. I just don't see why anyone would get wound up and bothered about what someone says on a fans message board, about what they've heard is or isn't happening.

But people are only human. If someone spends a year saying that people with untold riches are still actively seeking to buy the club, based on nothing more than the odd non-denial and cryptic 'I am having a few beers tonight to celebrate!' type posts, even when the signs are that the potential buyers are now not seeking to do that, you can surely see how worked up everyone gets waiting for this mythical thing to happen? And that obviously creates a lot of chatter with people believing or not believing. Surely it's our right to question it or call it whatever we think, and if it's right, eat humble pie and be happy it actually worked out.

The problem is when the ITK then gets so defensive that they start lashing out at anyone who doesn't believe them. If you're ITK, don't spend a year moping around complaining about the abuse you get as if it's a job that you have to do. Some people very much enjoy the attention that comes from being the person people come to expecting information.

The issue in all this new investor/ITK speculation is that there is clearly something going on but no one knows exactly what is happening or who is involved but it’s fairly nailed on that Donald and Methven are going-this is where @MADBOB THE MAKEM has a head start as he is a personal friend of Charlie Methven and has been for some time now, even in the light of Methven’s several vitriolic, spiteful diatribes against our loyal fan base.

There is absolutely no doubt that the ego’s of the so called ITK’s on RTG and 606 for example would have seen them name names if they knew who the new investor(s) were, so currently they don’t know much.

Personally I find it quite heartening that we don’t know who any new investor names are because in reality this is the way it should be as with most (not all) big hitters and high end business deals things are kept well under wraps until things are professionally announced.

There’s too many people trying to be precious about whatever it is that’s happening at our club right now and whilst some of the so called ITK’s say they just want to find out info so that they can inform fellow supporters, the truth is they are looking also to massage their own ego’s, that’s quite clear.

They should remember that if they did know any names etc and released them into the public arena they could potentially scupper any deal that is currently being negotiated.

When it comes to our ITKs, it's probably more accurate to say they all love the attention.

There might be some occasions when a poster has info on a specific deal, but when you post something like "This could be massive :cool:", that's a post designed to get you the most attention for giving away the smallest amount of info possible.

I'm sure they're all decent lads who do have sources, but it's worth viewing the whole thing as more of a laugh and not taking it too seriously. These are people giving out info on a multi-milliom pound deal to strangers on the internet. It's ridiculous :lol:
 
There's at least one person who claims he only keeps getting info because he's able to keep a lid on it, but is about as secretive as a government emergency broadcast system :D

If I wanted to announce something to the world I'd save myself the hassle and just tell him instead, the rest of the world would know by half 4.

Not saying that's a bad thing but it means if it's someone linked to him I'm not going to be getting overexcited about investment. If it's someone who isn't linked to him I don't expect anyone with major money and plans would want 39% and no control. I'll be delighted to be rid of Donald and Methven regardless, and hopefully it'll allow KLD to be a bit more ambitious, but can't imagine this being any sort of a game changing move. I'd love to be wrong mind!

A basic win for me would be getting the stench of Donald and methman out of our club! did you see Donald's face in the royal box?....thats the face of a bloke whose lost the golden goose.I think we agree on everything else.i am just hoping for once that our magnificent fans get the owners we deserve.

But that means absolutely nothing to reality. I could tell you I've just bumped into Elon musk who's going to put 2bn into the club. Doesn't make it true.

I think people having their hopes built up every summer about investment has impacted negatively on the fanbase and club. Numerous times we have overlooked the glaring issues in the squad etc and the fans get even angrier when another takeover breaks down, leading to more hatred towards the owners.

Its not healthy. I'd rather just believe what I think is true than whatever sounds the best.

Riv is on this thread and is a big lad, he can defend himself.
