I think people are being harsh like, look at scores around the country, everyone scoring a shed load

I dont see why every loss has to be seen as a disaster like, playing a team with much more resources than ourselves too
 
Durham did well v worcester in both facets of the game, then produce a decent 207 but never looked like we had any idea of slowing the rate.

some strange results going on elsewhere

Correct. I had an alert from cricinfo saying derby had won but another from FlashScores say notts. As you say bbc has notts as has cricinfo now.

thought it unlikely as hakes scored a 90 odd

Bowling out two players who were getting slaughtered and not using the bowlers who'd done well is poor regardless. Pretty sure even if it's gone the distance there weren't enough overs left to fully utilise Raine for eg..took 2-14 off 2 didn't he?

I agree but possibly what we could ask is why is he captaining the side. I wonder if the likes of Raine and Coggers turned down the role again.

Well personally I think it's a better choice. Obviously turner was meant to captain. Coggers had his chance and ditched us last time he was meant to be our future captain so that bridge is burnt as far as I'm concerned.

Trev has captaincy experience and is young and can develop.

Agree and he will make mistakes in the helter skelter of T20. Especially with s limited team.
 
Why have we never learnt what is needed for this format?

Every year we seem to go in with the same game plan.

You need 2 spinners and a seamers who mix it up. Not that you can knock the batters today, but you can't rely on the top few coming off everytime.

Carse and Coughlin batting 5 and 6 is not good enough. 8s and 9s in most T20 sides.
