It’s so naff, the professional Geordie- and as a matter of geography this is what I am, a Geordie, born and brought up on the Tyne. Even when I lived in the area as a kid I could sense the stench of faux sentiment. It’s a sorrowful, pitiful, childish way of looking at the world.
