Each to their own mate, I watched loads and found it great to watch, cricket players playing to entertain, fans really enjoying themselves and been passionate about their team and their sport.
Nobody mentioned money or generating cash as a indication of success
What I mentioned is 105 thousand people wanting to watch a cricket final, and throughly enjoying themselves, that would not happen if the product was not good?
Not to mention the crowds and brilliant atmosphere throughout the tournament that all players playing in it comment on, that suggests it’s a success very much a success at least in India.
By very nature when you have the best players in the world in that format going head to head then of course it’s good, it’s churlish to say anything else.
What gets me on this subject is if exactly the same 22 players play out a T20 match in the blast it’s great entertainment, yet if the very same 22 players play in the IPL, with the same scores.
There is always a angle found on here to critcise it!!
