Good point Pilly. I wonder if @honest mag has ever met a Saudi? EIther way he is extremely naive. The views, on say homosexuality, are ingrained in society. The Saudi's think we are wrong and we should change. In fact it is extremely arrogant for people to say they should change and impose our beliefs.
Surely the obvious one that sticks out to me is the law for women’s driving. There’ll be other changes aswell that aren’t as prevalent as that one. Btw, I’m not sticking up for anything the Saudis get up to, doesn’t interest me, never has. This is me giving balance to an argument saying that the Saudis aren’t showing anything in regards to changing. Also seen a documentary a little while ago where they’ve started having outdoor music festivals etc, similar to some of the big European and American ones, which 5 years ago would have been unheard of. They’re a country which is a whole lifetime behind us in regards to some of they’re backward thinking laws, there’s no getting away from that. The only time people will take them seriously is when they change their laws regards homophobia etc, and close down chop chop square.
Has Botman or Diaby signed on the dotted line yet.

The outdoor festivals ffs. That is exactly washing, just not sport.

Every barbaric act they do is hidden behind these events whether it be boxing, music, golf , football etc .

And people fall for it. Or some do.

It’s change, no matter which way you want to look at it. Everything they do can’t just be put down to “washing”. Like I said previously, people will only start taking them seriously once they stop with the barbarism. Me included.

Think I’ll go with what the human rights organisations are saying, rather than hoardes of mags dishonestly pretending that they think they can change Saudi Arabia:

All countries go through the UPR process at the UN every six years. It’s an opportunity for other countries to examine one nation’s human rights records – and offer recommendations.

Saudi Arabia is halfway through its current six-year UPR cycle. To mark the milestone, we investigated how Saudi Arabia is performing against the recommendations it accepted in 2018.

Our report, produced with the European Saudi Organisation for Human Rights (ESOHR), shows that Saudi Arabia has made little to no progress in implementing any of 199 recommendations it accepted in 2018.

Of course its sportswashing, it does not matter how many, and the type of events they host, it's all to try and detract from what the regime is up to. They're kidding no one, only you fuckers who defend them at every turn. They'll never ever change.

Women driving, music festivals are purely cosmetic and intended to make the west think they are changing - based on your response it is working. I am referring to stuff that his haram in the Koran such as homosexuality - that is not changing anytime soon. The Koran doesn't make any statements about women driving.....but she can only drive with a family member she couldn't have a non-family male in with her else she would get lashes.

The irony of them celebrating Newcastle suddenly discovering women's football

Did you not hear. The company that moved the Shearer statue the other week were from Sunderland apparently. If that’s not spreading money across the region, I don’t know what is.

absolutely hilarious the ‘they’ll change’ crack, if they wanted to change they would have done so by now.

Bottom line is they aren’t going to change rather buy off peoples opinions with their money.

Tonight’s football reminds me with heavy heart this blurt exists. On the positive side he’s a massive Newcastle fan 😂

You don’t like him because he’s stood up for us in the past. Seems strange to mock him for making the best of himself. The lads living a bit of a dream tbf. Each to their own I suppose.
