The f***ing Goons 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It is lines like this that make them cluless about football - "Last season we played better than we have for nigh on 20 years, and there's no reason not to expect this to continue."

The results were better. The atmosphere better but playing better? Come on - they surrendered possession and booted it forward!

The article looks at how they could have got more points but doesn't comment on the good fortune they had with 3 wins easily being draws.

Is it the event? The drinking, the day out, the flags and the singing more than than what happens on the pitch as i honestly think they know nothing about football.

they absolutely hate that villa have made a few high profile signings

going on like they're the only club that should be allowed to spend money

“The team mentioned above, that was third best in the latter half of the season, whose supporters believe to be at European standard, will be strengthened considerably this summer.”

Had to stop there

It’s like listening to somebody constantly referring to themselves in the third person, convincing themselves to shag… themselves 🤢
No denying they did well as they are 3rd if you look at results from Jan 25th

Though look at the results of the 18 games in relation to where the teams finished as it's a bit lopsided. It's only a partial season and out of the fixtures that are missing, realistically they wouldn't match the PPG of the W12 D1 L5 at all unless they started beating teams in the top 7 at home & top 10 away. To be fair to them they did graft in most of their games with the 'feel good' factor but some of their opposition were terrible at times or things just seemed to go right for the Mags. I'm not so sure this 'form' will carry on into next season so the mags thinking they'll be up there may be in for a shock but then again who knows.

I’m not sure it’s so much “European Standard” as a £90m cash injection, hoofball and 50,000 sportswashed souls screaming them on.

Bit early to tell but the honeymoon will likely wear off and mid table mediocrity beckons

Was listening to the world football phone in the other night and he said he was on the train with a load of people from Tyneside. Turns out he was on about us when we were down wembley. He then said for us to call in if we wanted and the other lad who was a guest said no don’t, they’re a nothing club. We don’t want to hear from their sort or something. He also said we would still be in the lower leagues while they were winning the champions league. The lad was actually from south London and said he only supported NUFC as he mam fancied Keegan years ago when he was playing for them so always had the mags on the telly. I find that hard to believe given it was before his time and even then the games weren’t televised. Anyway he seemed to despise us and the whole of the panel were laughing along as if to agree with him that we were nobody’s. Tim Vickery and all them.

First time I’ve had to knock it off. I love that podcast and go there to get away from all that shit. Could tell after 5 minutes it was going to be horrendous. The mag they had on was a right wanker
