You have been boilwashed when you have the logo of a Sovereign Wealth Fund as your profile pic....

1969 ?

@ketchell: *Aware #NUFC have invaded a couple of pitches away from home, but the last time SJP was invaded? Rangers semi final in 1969?

1974 against Nottingham forest in cup when losing, think they went onto win, but match replayed? Got to final where they turned up against Liverpool

They're desperate for Everton to get relegated.

Pickford has really got to them 🤣🤣🤣🤣

And they're in no position to talk about pitch invasions (Forest / Us in the Play offs)

Go on twitter and search for scouse mackems - they are obsessed. Can't enjoy their own success.

It is absolutely guaranteed your sponsorship deals won't reflect anything like fair market value. You will inevitably abuse the rules in much the same way man city do.

Talk of pragmatic growth also laughable. Everything financially related to the club will be grossly inflated. But hard to prove otherwise.

Let's not talk as if this is a normal functioning club now. It isn't. It's the saudi state using a football team to improve its image. That's not achieved in the way they want through pragmatic growth.
We can't, the scrutiny we'll be under for every deal isn't the same as it was for Man City (or Chelsea, or Everton, or whomever). They've literally re-written the rules to make sure we don't just announce a £100m a year shirt sponsorship deal with Aramco or the like.

Our current shirt sponsor pays about £6.5m, by comparison West Ham get about £12m and there's the usual 6 clubs that get at least 3 times more than that for their deals. So, we couldn't get away with a £35m deal, but £12m? Yep.

Same is true for sponsoring the training ground, the sleeves, and so on. Couldn't make a case for matching Man City or Man Utd, but definitely could for matching Everton, Leicester or West Ham.

I disagree with your final point, I think that having sustainable growth on and off the pitch works for the Saudis sportswashing plans. I think the expectation will be to deliver success (Cup win, progress in CL or similar) before or for Saudi Vision 2030 (I personally don't think that's outrageous).

whilst i also think the everton pitch invasion was over the top, any team taking a celebratory photo like they've won the league after beating teams like burnley calling another club tinpot needs to have a word with themselves.
all the replies just gloating about money. sums them up.

Could probably say the same about a team that calls Wembley their second home when they’ve mostly been there for 3rd and 2nd division play off games.

Don't you remember that whenever he's played for Everton against us we've lost our heads, we've got the lip on and we've flapped balls into the back of the net?

Oh aye, he's got us absolutely rattled. So much so, we've actually been dropped by our manager for the game.
