Do they really think that by saying they haven't got shed loads to spend anyone will believe them, especially after posting list after list of how rich they are compared to everyone else. The selling clubs are going to ask for top dollar for every player they come in for, and the players themselves will want massive wages and bonuses.

The other issue is that MA loved a 5/6 year contract and many of the ones they will want to move on are contracted to 23 and beyond....but being the richest clerb in the world surely they can just pay the contract up?

Well, you'd think so, wouldn't you?

They're trying to change Lads.

It's a step forward Lads

I'm sure a change in their laws is imminent judging by this article.

That’s amazing. I’m amazed other clubs don’t do it. Maybe that’s why they’re not producing the run of form we are ?
Your mate should give other clubs a tip off on this one mate.

Where did you see / hear the ‘Howe out of ga a depth’ for losing at Man City and Spurs ?
Some kind of secret agent is tunstallhill. One day sharing a steam room with mags, the next, working at the training ground. Seeing more than Mad Adam IMO

Thick as a castle wall...

"Sheer sensationalism with regards to this young pup Jake.
Move on because it's basically got fk all to do with regards Newcastle United"

Wouldnt have been mentioned if not for some asshole on twitter saying Newcastle were the only club that didn’t back him, when they were the first.

Pacqueta would be a good signing but he's not really what they need.

Bruno pacqueta and Linton is not a balanced midfield. Howes first mistake most likely if they sign him.

They'd be better off signing 2 wingers and a striker.

I honestly believe that would be the only way round it

They haggled over contracts for back room staff and didn't convince Emery or Emenalo so I am not sure. I would love them to go gung-ho and fail like Everton but it seems they may be cautious.

GK, CB, LB, winger and striker. I think about 7 or 8 out and these 5 positions in.

I don't really get the clamour for a keeper mind. Dubravka might be prone to a clanger, but he's bailed you out time and time again. If the aim is top of the mid-table, he's good enough. Henderson would be an upgrade, but you'd have to overpay to get Man Utd to let him go permanently. I don't get how a loan would be much benefit really.

I expect the big clubs to throw Newcastle a few shiny toys on loan. It's one of the ways they keep the lesser clubs in their place. I thought Newcastle were pretty sensible in January, but there's definitely a temptation to go for names (especially when it seems to get half the fanbase all misty eyed), so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Shipping players out could be a problem if they are on good contracts, other clubs might not want to pay the wages they are on. Sign of the times with all clubs I suspect
Yeah possibly. I think the likes of Clark, hayden etc won't be on massive wages and possibly attractive to championship clubs.

Dubravka is a good shot stopper but he does not fit into the way Howe wants to play. He is just not a modern keeper. His distribution is poor and he sticks on his line like glue. I think that's why replacing him will be a high priority.

I think of the players we sign a couple will definitely be loans and maybe a name or two but we are way down the list for the top players of course.

It wasn't 'pretty sensible' to pay £25M for a very poor reserve striker.

1 goal from open play in 16 games is a woeful return 😂
