It is just 5%. Mitsubishi Bank and JP Morgan own 7.3% and 5.14% which does make them the third biggest shareholder.

Gold star for spotting the first mag to post on twitter "I bet you play Mario Cart"....

Sorry Japanese Government Pension Fund has 6.88%.

But no Twitter, Facebook or Disney but they can say "I bet you use Paypal (0.08%) or play Fifa (5.05% in Electronic Arts")

They honeymoon period is over now, they will turn on Mandy and the players when they don’t achieve their unrealistic ambitions. Let’s see how genuine ‘we just want a club that tries’ is.

This. Saw a facebook post which was a jibe at Arsenals ending of being a top4 club. turned into a Mag saying that the top six is now broken with a winky face.

Realistically it is there to be broken.
Liverpool / Man City / Chelsea are well clear.
Then behind that Spurs who will progress under Conte.

Next you get Arsenal and Man U who as we all know arent what they used to be. It wont just be Newcastle who think they can potentially challenge the top 6.

Why wouldn't they - the form this latter half of the season has been incredible! Will it continue? I don't think so. Do the mags think so - of course some will.

Because 1996 isn't that far away it will always be used for comparison and since then many clubs have pushed on. That pressure to re-create those heady days will ultimately kill them.

I really hope they do an Everton, spend a fortune and still be in a relegation battle.
i don't think so and i don't think we need to spend fortunes keep targett a couple of upgrades and we will be fine for next season ' Howe has been the best signing we made ' Bruno looks like a snip at 40m ' joelinton is starting to look like a player ' and in general they have all improved from the bruce era.

Like most journos, he's gone from questioning the Mags ownership to realising its your job to chat about them so have gone all in on the sportswashing

The Mags are an international circus now so reporting has changed. “North East” journalists will lean into sportswashing, then the next time MBS flexes his new toy (Saudi sponsor, trips to/events in Saudi Arabia, renaming St James’ etc etc) they’ll go back to being outraged, then back to the football ⚽

They’ll have to keep flip flopping to do their job.
NUFC supporters are going to be permanently confused and furious, just one aspect of The New Normal.
