After the outrage of Greg Norman's comments the Mags are now clamouring for Saudi Golf to sponsor their shirts.

That sums these f***ing Scumbags up.

Despite what is regularly claimed on here you are no different to us. It would be total madness if it were. How on earth can people living 15 miles apart be so different as some on here claim?
Definitely due to 1992 onwards. I bet we were exactly the same before then.

The era of around 02-08 ish with CL football versus us being relegated etc probably contributed hugely too
Because you (probably coming from the bigger city) have this weird obsession in being the best at absolutely everything. We've got the best fans, we got the best airport, we've got the best flag displays, we've got the best city for drinking, we're best at having had a hard time under Ashley. It's relentless.

Always in our shadow as often mentioned by your support re. us just boosts your superiority complex that many of you have to have.

Sunderland having had it far, far worse than you have learned to just be a lot more grounded. We want the best for the team but that's it.

There's huge differences in many elements of our support imo. Although, granted this wouldn't apply to everyone.

Excellent point. Even non-football people have it. The amount of people who scoff at anyone visiting Sunderland is ridiculous up here.

Well said. You just can't compare how bad we've had it compared to the 15 years they had with Ashley. Our last 25 years compared to theirs is ridiculously far apart.

The more outrage there is, the more they get on the telly. Just a matter of time before their next act of performative stupidity for the cameras. They’ve done a mock funeral and worn fancy dress so perhaps a mass conversion is next.

Keep on trying to tell yourselves this is what you expected Lads.

From...
Mbappe to Sean Longstaff

New training complex to tarting up Benwell

Cheap season tickets to priced out

Keegan era away top to Saudi colours

Local football initiatives to being whores touring Saudi

Emery to Eddie Howe

Rashford to Chris Wood

Mike spending £100M to Saudis spending £90M

Stadium extension to cleaning the windows

Being peoples 2nd club (not mine) to being universally despised

Next up...
Ban alcohol
Ban women
Home games in Rhiad
Asked to convert to Islam

Got your club back though eh lads
Oh how I laughed:rolleyes:....I spilt gravy all over my new shirt

Holt really getting to them.

Well done Oliver 👏👏👏👏
The funny thing I am always noticing is when seeing these mags get up in arms when anyone criticises their ownership is that they just revert to 'yeah but this person said this or that' or 'yeah but they condoned this in XXX year'. Some nasty personal attacks in that article about Holt too. They truly are rattled.

Yet to see one statement from any of them whenever they are challenged, outlining how their current ownership can sit well or in harmony with the standards expected in their city, or the UK as a whole. Instead it just seems to be them basically acknowledging they know they are owned by an evil, horrible state, yet they just say 'yeah but so are X' or 'look at X, all the same these days nothing you can do about it'.

Selling their souls at they don't seem to care one jot. I just can't help but feel it'll all end in tears for them down the line, sooner or later.

The danger for the mags is, if you are owned by the Saudis you have to dance to their tune. They are paying the money for influence and to promote their brand of how they would like to 'be viewed by the world.

They've effectively consigned themselves to being a de facto prostitute in the brothel shop window which is the Saudi state.

The notion of them 'having their club back' could not be further from the truth.

Stop kidding yourself, despite only being about 12 miles apart, there’s a world of difference.

The majority of Sunderland fans are fairly realistic about their club, city, etc… The majority of Newcastle fans however actually believe that their club is one of the greatest in the world despite a 67 year old empty trophy cabinet saying otherwise. And as for the city, just because the city centre is better than Sunderland city centre, doesn’t make it one of the greatest cities in the world as most seem to claim.

Deluded is probably a word that best describes the average person from Newcastle. A word that could never be applied to the good folk of Sunderland.

Saw the article from their magazine about our finances saying we give away tickets in an attempt to be seen as a big club.

They are beyond thick..they gave away 10,000 season tickets last season. :) Where are all our free tickets? I have never had one.

Sadly the local media round here lets them get away with so much rubbish.

Everyone wants to see their team successful but they have morals a million miles lower than a snakes belly.
