No there isn't. Joshua was happy to take the Saudi money. A million people were happy to pay the TV companies to watch it.

What you are saying is it's ok for Anthony Joshua to do business with the despotic regime, or Formula One to do the same, but it's not ok for Newcastle.

There is no halfway house on this.

Your criticism of it is fired by local rivalry and nothing else but you won't admit it.

If the situation was reversed you lot would have done the same and we would have been on your case.

Joshua, Westwood and Norman are the equivalent of your players. Chasing the money but at least its their living.

The club formally known as Newcastle United is literally Saudi itself now. Huge difference.

Whatabout ….
You’re owned by a fascist who beheads people who speak against him or any Saudi policy, like homosexuality, and labels them terrorists.

Boxing and golf and other things going ahead in Saudi are vile and is done purely for money.
They also get lots of criticism.
Newcastle are the face of Saudi though, and instrumental in a sport washing campaign to normalise Saudi behaviours.
And the mags defending them and the whataboutery is worth every penny that they’re putting into the club.
I’m amazed at newcatstle fans tbh. A liberal left leaning city who now love being owned by fascists

Apologies if already posted. The sportswashed have obviously jumped all over this tweet. Which is simply a journalist quoting amnesty.

Maybe, just maybe, if you're jumping on top of what amnesty international says all the time do you think they should maybe take a step back and reasses your view on something? I mean they obviously won't, but maybe they should.

I genuinely don't think we would have lauded them in the way you have. You believe you have a right to be atbthe top and are clearly willing to sell all principles and your club identity to to do so. I believe as support we're more grounded and certainly don't have you self entitlement.

Joshua shouldn't have fought there. He was just chasing the dollar.

None of that changes what your club now is. And that is a flimsy cover for the brutal Saudi state.
Despite what is regularly claimed on here you are no different to us. It would be total madness if it were. How on earth can people living 15 miles apart be so different as some on here claim?

Darwinism mate. The more ridiculous your club gets, the more clowns join your support while we stay grounded. Been the case since 1992.

Because you (probably coming from the bigger city) have this weird obsession in being the best at absolutely everything. We've got the best fans, we've got the best airport, we've got the best flag displays, we've got the best city for drinking, we're best at having had a hard time under Ashley. It's relentless.

Always in our shadow as often mentioned by your support re. us just boosts your superiority complex that many of you have to have.

Sunderland having had it far, far worse than you have learned to just be a lot more grounded. We want the best for the team but that's it.

There's huge differences in many elements of our support imo. Although, granted this wouldn't apply to everyone.
