I accept Mike Ashley spins yarns/tells lies and I also accept he's spat his dummy out on a good few occasions but in between it all he's done a lot of good for the club that gets swept under the carpet due to the bile and hatred of him after the brief messiah-like love in he was afforded when he saved this club from sinking into oblivion compared to where we've been for the last 14 years of his tenure.

It's not about falling for all the other stuff it's about evaluating his tenure and it's made out to be 1000 times worse than what it ever was if people actually sat back on looked at it from a reasonable point of view.

Do you work in the industry and were aware of that or have you spent hours trying to find some "dirt" on LD? In terms of deflection it is like comparing Cleadon Hills to Mt Everest. Idiot. FFS Agri scorecard compared to being 155th (from 165) on the freedom index.

I would argue they are of equal disdain.

Saudis commit more extreme crimes, but all in their own country. Plus all the oil.

Agri-food companies like Louis Dreyfus commit less extreme crimes, but in many countries around the world.

Saudis go all in for the murder, executions, murder, oppression etc. LDC will just go in for land grabs, displacement of local people, environmental and ecosystem damage. Murder will only be rare, if there is a particular problem to solve.

I think the Saudis are worse and should be shunned like North Korea. They have no place in British sports, and BAE should not be selling them weapons. It’s a disgrace they own Newcastle.

Companies like Louis Dreyfus just need to improve their game. Raising awareness amongst consumers about the abuses in the agri supply chain is the best way to get that change.
