Couple of mags on Twitter a bit worried that the kit gives ammo to the rest of the premier league that the Saudi state is really their owner (something which we all knew anyway 😂)

Fair play to the ones desperately trying to argue it’s a new version of the 1999 top

Please let's have one player with a red painted hand slap a newcastle player on the back at the start of a game so their new away shirt drips with a bloodied hand. In my dreams, but it would be great.
I don’t know so much about dreaming, I can’t stop bloody well smiling. ‘Er Indoors thinks I’ve lost the plot

The reality is, within the next 5 years or so the Saudis will do something absolutely horrendous and Newcastle will be under pressure, like Chelsea were

they are right to point out Saudis have assests everywhere, and loads of people at different levels of different industries have dealth with them, or visited there for work or someit

but clear difference when you are directly owned by them like this for a specific purpose or rebranding their nation
They do horrendous things on a daily basis. They only get away with it because they do it to brown people.

Mike Ashley saved us from bancruptcy. This is the biggest fallacy of the Ashley era that he started spinning when it started going pear shaped for him, to try and make him seem like some sort of saviour. This was never ever going to happen. Yes we were in debt, but name me a football club who splashes the cash that isn’t. It’s manageable debt.
Love him or hate him but Mike Ashley did save Newcastle from bankruptcy and was likely also ..potentially...one of the only buyers who could've kept this club afloat in the premier league given that nobody was rushing in to take over the crumbling situation that the Halls had left us in.

Had Hall and Shepherd stayed on we would be lower league by now and waiting for some owner/messiah to rescue us and it may not have been an Ashley. It may have been a proper chancer.

Ashley stabilised this club. The biggest problem for Ashley was his mistake in bringing in Keegan and not pandering to his fantasy whims of him.
