Been looking at players who might be more suited to flat pitches in Pakistan rather just looking at the figures

Jamie Overton is one for sure, not set the world alight, but some of his wickets are so what we need, full, very quick, taking the pitch out of the equation

It’s excellent that and really refreshing as it seems both teams have made the effort to win the game.

Sussex could easily have batted Middlesex out of it and Middlesex could easily not took up the chase and batted out the draw.

Great to see as cricket is about winning games and entertaining the public.

That’s why points systems should be balanced to make it much more attractive to win games than settle for draws.

Its worth noting that Morgan doesnt rate him at all, I know thats a different format.

Not saying he is right btw, but he has been in both squads loads and just dosnt get picked. I think the idea was that Root just didnt fancy him, but its clearly deeper than that.

They had to play him at Antigua and Barbados, that was so poor IMO, but we never really got an exact reason why.

The only reason I'm reluctant to pick him is I like Leach and he gets far too much stick, no spinner would have ripped through a team on 2 of the flattest pitches seen in the Carribean, he bowled really well. He also has an excellent first class record, and this myth that he only takes wickets on spinning pitches has somehow been accepted as fact!
 
Malan has moved to 3 from 5 today

Disappointing for me if the case. Think Malan should be 3 and I just can't see how Brook can be overlooked for 5 given his form.
