I'm going to assume the story is true. After the waiter mentions a cracking goal from a player in a team that finished 5th, rather than have a bit chat about that team and season, why was the mags first question to the waiter 'have you heard of Sunderland?'. Weird eh?

They’re absolutely obsessed that’s why. Going out in your football top to dinner “classy” 🙄

Bloke at work still comes to work now and again in his. Amazed he hasnt been told to stop it. Must look horrendous to visitors.

Bloody hell 😱

The amount of non football stories in the Ronnie accompanied by photo of someone wearing a mag top, made me assume the reporter carried tops around in his car and asked people to wear them.

Reading your post perhaps I was wrong 😂

We started a dress down Friday a few year ago, and on the first one, a 55 year old office manager came to work in not only his black and white top, but also a full Newcastle United branded tracksuit.
Yous should write a book with all these mag supporter stories. Have a picture to accompany each story and yous would make a fortune on Wearside. Don’t think you’d sell too many at WH Smith on Northumberland street mind.

I did mate.

Not so much about the mags but they did of course feature. You can't have such a large amount of gonkage in your fanbase and expect them not to.

Don't think it sold too many in WH Smith in Northumberland St but it was the Xmas No.1 in the North East book chart though. 😎

To be fair I'm not too bothered about that.
We escaped relegation so the rest of it is basically an easy street in terms of not having to worry about much and just hoping we can finish on a bit of a high.
We have to be careful about some fans having too high an expectation. It's fine to have high hopes but never expect.

Most teams get nothing much at Man City and most teams don't get much at their own grounds against Man City.
Most get hammered and played off the park so I'm not too disappointed.
They've had a lot of years to get to this stage. We've just started.

I'm extremely optimistic.
Same as you were optimistic about giving Liverpool or City a “bloody nose” but now you’ve changed your tune and don’t have too high an expectation. You’ll be telling us the world is flat next

Thought Geordie Dean or whatever he was called had came out of retirement there for a minute
